This is such a sad story 😢. I don't know how, I somehow was able to predict that Eren and Armin wouldn't be able to get along or see eye to eye in the future in Attack on Titan. This is basically a story about just that and is a similar but different synerioe. Prepare for the feels. And enjoy! :)
Armin and Eren used to be the best of friends. All they ever talked about back when they were kids was about the Ocean. When they got older, they joined the 104th training corps and then signed up for the Scouts and got qualified.
They've been through so much together. They're the best of friends! They've always been the best of friends! Literally! Over time, they even saw the Ocean together!
But....eventually, as time passed, Eren and Armin started thinking differently and started to have different ideas, opinions or so on. Eventually Eren didn't even want to be friends with Armin anymore.
This shattered Armin's heart. Eren and Armin were in an argument and Eren was yelling at Armin like the angry german kid he was.
Armin: RACIST!!
Narraitor: S-Sorry!
Anyways, it got so bad, Eren slapped Armin's hand away and Eren was on the very verge of getting violent with Armin, when Armin had no intention on becoming violent with him.
Mikasa had happened to be passing by, when she heard Eren and Armin's screams. She rushed over to see things going sour between the two and she rushed over and tossed Eren over, and he crashed onto his back. And his back cracked.
"STOP IT!! both of you!" she scolded.
She glances over to Armin to realize he was crying and sobbing. What did Eren say or do to Armin?
"I'm sorry Armin, but you and I can't be friends anymore! We just think too differently now!" Eren thus, turns away, storming off.
"E-Eren!" Mikasa reached out and was going to go after him, when she just realized that if she did that, she would be leaving behind Armin, who was crying. He was crying badly....she couldn't just leave him like this to go after Eren....
"Armin, are you okay? What happened?" she goes over to Armin and places a hand on his shoulder, comfortingly.
"I-It's just as Eren said. W-We think too differently now....b-but why? Even if we think a little differently....why can't we just stay friends? You and Eren.....you and Eren are all I have left."
Mikasa knows exactly how Armin feels. Mikasa's family was murdered when she was a child, and she was abducted. But Eren saved her. Eren and the Yeager family was all she had left. But then, their mother was eaten by a Titan during the breach of Wall Maria, and all she had left was Eren and Armin.
Armin had his Mom and Dad, but they wanted to venture outside the walls, to explore what was outside....but they never came back. Before they could even reach outside, they were executed by a bunch of Military police. All Armin had left was his Grandfather.
But after the fall of Wall Maria, his grandfather was sent on a recovery mission and was eaten by a Titan. He never came back.
After that, all he had was Eren and Mikasa.
There is no other family these three have. All they have is each other now.
Mikasa knew how it felt to lose family...and she did not want Eren to distance himself from Armin. All the three had left was each other now.
Does he not remember the fact that Armin lost his family to the Titans and that he is now a orphan? The three of them pretty much are orphans. But because they are soldiers and are in the scouts, the scouts provide rooms for them to stay in.
Mikasa couldn't bare the thought of things staying like this between Eren and Armin. "M-Mikasa.....I'm afraid after this, me and Eren could never be friends again...." Sobs Armin. "B-But....you should go to Eren."
"Armin." Mikasa spoke sternly and she took both Armin's hands into her own, causing Armin to meet his gaze with hers.
"I promised that I was never going to leave you behind. and I still promise that. no matter what, I won't leave you."
"M-Mikasa...."
"Com'on, let's go talk things out with Eren." Mikasa lets go of one of Armin's hands, she is now just holding onto one, and she starts to drag Armin along with her, to follow after Eren.
"Mi-Mikasa...." Armin let's go of her hand and swipes it away.
"Th-Things won't be able to change between me and Eren....he won't listen. He just....gets too angry to even listen to what I have to say."
After a moment of thinking, Mikasa decided to just talk things out with Eren herself. But then again, maybe Armin should be around to hear what he has to say? Or not...
"I'm going to make sure he listens. Don't worry Armin." Mikasa takes Armin's hand again, and drags him along with her. Armin sighs worryingly. When the two finds Eren....
"Eren! please, let us talk to you!"
Eren glances to see Mikasa with Armin... "I don't have any time to spare with Armin. We think too differently. Things have changed. I don't want anything more to do with him. Just leave me be." Eren turns around and starts to walk off.
"Eren, just wait a minute will you!?" Mikasa hurries over to Eren, still holding Armin's hand, and with her extra hand, Grab's Eren's wrist tightly enough, he probably won't be able to squirm his wrist out of her grasp.
"Ah-!! Mikasa!! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE. I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM!!"
"EREN!! Just listen for once, instead of yelling!! Maybe both of you don't think quite the same anymore or share the same opinions, but surely you both can stay friends!"
"I don't think so."
"B-But Eren--"
"JUST STOP IT ALREADY, MIKASA!! IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN!! I'M THROUGH WITH HIM!"
Eren then turns his gaze towards Armin."Armin, it'd be best of you to just leave me and Mikasa alone!!"
Eren then takes Mikasa's hand and starts to storm off.
"E-Eren--Wh-What the--?!!"
Mikasa swipes her hand away from Eren.
"Why are you doing this to Armin?"
"JUST SHUT UP!!"
Eren then storms over to Armin, causing him to jump in surprise. "Armin, if I ever see you around Mikasa again, your DEAD!! DEAD!!! Go and live with your Grandfather or something!!" Eren then begins stomping off and grabs Mikasa's hand.
"E-Eren-!!" scoulds Mikasa. Eren doesn't lets go of Mikasa's hand.
"W-What do you mean, Eren?"
Eren glances back over to Armin to see a more hurt look than he gave earlier.
"How could you forget....? My parents including my grandfather were killed by hands of the Government. I thought you of all people would have remembered that."
Eren was silent for a moment and then turns around. "Then live in the streets for all I care. I don't care where you go. and I don't care what happens to you. You can get eaten by a Titan for all I care. Yeah! How about you do that, so you could leave me and Mikasa be and join your family?!"
"EREN, THAT IS ENOUGH!!"
"If you don't want to go with me, then FINE!!"
Eren then darts off, leaving behind Mikasa and Armin. Mikasa walks up towards Armin and grabs him into a very close hug, as Armin cries into her chest.
"Eren might leave you....but always remember this Armin. I'll never leave you. I'll never leave you behind."
