It was another day of training in the training camp with the 104th Cadet Corps. Armin tries desperately to find a sparring partner, but nobody seems interested in working with him. Perhaps it's because how frail and weak he is? Armin becomes quite hopeless, and just when he felt like giving up...

"Armin? It's not like you to stand around doing nothing." Annie Leonhart approaches Armin. "Ah...Annie!" Armin greets in surprise. It wasn't everyday Annie spoke to him. After all, she is the silent type.

"If your looking for a sparring partner, you can spare with me if you want." Offers Annie. "R-Really? Okay!" Nods Armin, happy to finally have a sparring partner to train with.

Annie holds a wooden knife in her hands while standing in her fighting stance. "Come at me." She says. Usually she will be glaring at her opponents, but since it was just Armin, she held back the urge to glare. She didn't exactly want to intimidate him.

"O-Okay!" Responds Armin as he darts on over. But before he could make a move, Annie trips Armin, and he falls right smack on his face!

Annie waited til Armin stood back up. He wiped away the dust from his face and ask of her for the chance to try again, which Annie allows him to.

Annie usually thinks of training exercises as pointless. She basically thinks of it as a way to hone your skills to only prepare to run or die. But really, the point of these exercises is to learn some combat moves that may come in handy in protecting yourself in the future, whether your enemy is Titans or Humans.

Annie understands this. She may not approve of it, but she understands the point in which most people perceive this training. So she allows Armin to try and to try again. He hopes to improve, to at least lay a finger on Annie, but...

One does not simply...hit or touch Annie in training exercises without receiving bruises or wounds. As the two spared longer and longer, Annie vegan to forget who she was sparing with was gentle Armin.

Annie accidentally scraps Armin's forehead quite bad with the wooden knife and he falls to his knees while wincing in pain as he takes a hand, pressing against his wound.

Annie snaps out of it, and kneels down besides the fellow blonde in concern. She was ready to ask if he was okay, but was stopped when Mikasa arrived. The girl wrapped Armin's arm over her shoulder, helps him up, and coldly plushes Annie away.

"I think you've done enough, Annie." Mikasa says, her voice as cold as ice before walking Armin to the infirmary. But as Mikasa walked Armin off while supporting him, he waves a hand back and gives Annie a weak smile, his way of telling her that he was fine. Since then, Annie has tried extra hard to not lose it, and to go easy on Armin during sparring.
