Author's Note: This particular story is sad, heart wrenching, and violent. But that's a typical Attack on Titan for you. But just a heads up since this was  a sad story for me to write, and in case your looking for a fluff. But if you don't mind it, then enjoy! Also, the story can contain Ermin brotp :)

It was another Night. But for a certain blonde, it was anything but another night-- it was another nightmare. Armin remembers the terrible dream as clearly as he knows the back of his hand. The Titan's had broken through the walls. Titans were swarming in, devouring the lives of both civilians and soldiers alike. It wasn't like anything Armin had lived through before. The situation and results were way more disastrous than they ever had been in reality.

The Titans had murdered and devoured so many innocent lives, nearly the entire race of humanity had gone instinct in a single night. It was just like the stories of how Titans came to be-- they just appeared one second, and before the end of the night, the entire race of humans as everyone knew it, were wiped out.

But the nightmare felt so real, so vivid, it couldn't have possibly been a dream. It had to been real. That would make the most sense. Because when Armin screamed out his lungs, it felt real. No, everything from that moment was real.

The death was real, the casualties was real, the people he was once fighting alongside were real, the city was real, and the Titans theirselves were real. Every inch and croony of the dream was as real as life itself.

Armin wanted to believe that it wasn't real, all of it. He wanted to believe that truly, it was all just a bad dream, that it was just a nightmare he had to wake up from. Armin would grab at his hair quite violently, pulling at the strands of his blonde locks, not caring if he actually did achieve in pulling out his hair.

He screamed and wailed without end, hoping that the louder he screamed, the more his throat began to throb and dry up, that then maybe, just maybe, he would finally wake up from this horrid dream. But it didn't work. Nothing did. He was trapped in this hell. Trapped in it until the moment he should be fated to die.

But he didn't want to meet the same end as his friends. No, he didn't want to meet the same end he nearly faced that day. He wished to not be eaten alive by a rotting, mindless Titan as if he were just a petty animal.

But....what's worth living for? Eren and Mikasa were gone, and the majority of the human race as a whole, gone. At this point, you could just say that humanity itself had gone extinct. There were really not many souls left alive after all. So it wouldn't be a foolish thing to cry out that your kind was eliminated.

Eren and Mikasa....he couldn't save them. For a long time, Eren had used the best of his Titan shapeshifting ability to defend the human race. But eventually his Titan form dissipated and he was glued tight to the exposed nape of his Titan form.
