"Hi everyone!" Kiyomi smiled a greeting before hopping into Jean's roofless red truck to join everyone on the vacation trip. Everyone returned greetings in glee.
Kiyomi notices only one who failed to return a greeting. It was Armin. She scrolls her eyes on over to the boy to notice him staring with a faint hint of blush dusted upon his cheeks.
Kiyomi finds herself blushing back before reverting her eyes back to the car window. Sasha, Connie, and Mikasa watched the two's little moment, wondering what that was all about.
"Love birds..." Connie teashed in a quiet whisper meant for only Sasha to hear, and the potato girl laughed with him. But very quietly!
But despite how quiet they were while the car radio was jamming, Kiyomi had the ears of a cat and overheard Connie and Sasha's little tease.
Kiyomi's blush remains and she wonders if Armin overheard that tease as well. Knowing how smart and observant he is, he probably did.
Pretty much all of Kiymomi's friends gathered here knows about Kiyomi's gigantic crush on Armin. She really hasn't talked about having any such feelings of Armin, but it's just looking at the way she acts, speaks, and looks at Armin that makes it quite obvious. Kiyomi is as predictable as Bertolt is when it comes to his secret crush on Annie!
But eventually, the crew of friends made it to their destination— Shiganshina's beach! Everyone, including Kiyomi, hurries out full of excitement, nearly unable to contain themselves!
In the back of Kiyomi's mind, she tries wondering what Armin could possibly think of her. What is she to him? A friend? Family? Or something more...
"Yo! Kiyomi! Quit dozing out and help us unload some of this stuff!" Connie helps snap Kiyomi back in reality.
"O-Oh, yes! Of course!" She stammers before doing just as asked of her. She heads towards the trunk with everyone else and decides to carry one of the umbrellas.
"Oof, it looks like we will need to take a second trip back!" Points out Sasha upon noticing everyone having their hands full while there was still some more stuff left in the trunk.
"You have to be kidding me. Was it really necessary to bring so much crap?" Eren asked, nearly annoyed. "Why, of course Eren! How else are we supposed to have fun on this god forsaken beach?" Jean replies sarcastically.
"Actually, if any of you possessed any brain cells you'd find that there is plenty to do at the beach without your toys." Kiyomi smirks.
"Whoa... So out of character. Are you feeling alright, Kiyomi?" Mikasa ask in concern while approaching Kiyomi and placing a hand upon her forehead, as though checking her temperature.
Armin smiles, almost wanting to let out a small giggle. "She's fine, Mikasa. Don't you get it? Kiyomi probably learned that from Armin. He is afterall, the smart tart of the group." Eren reminds Mikasa.
It was after what Eren mentions, everyone notices a wide smile painted across Armin's face. He was proud of Kiyomi. When it comes to smart replies, he has taught her well.
"Um... let's go and take out stuff down before making our second trip." Brings up Jean, wanting to get everyone moving.
"We all distract each other so well, don't we?" Kiyomi speaks up during the walk down the stairs leading to the sandy beach that awaited them.
"Yeah, she said it!" Connie agrees. "I guess it has to do with how well everyone gets along." Armin chimed in. "Maybe so..." Mutters Jean.
