"Eren?! Stay with me, boy!" A voice calls out from the darkness. "Wake up!!" The same voice demands next. "Stop it...! Please, your scaring me!" Eren cries out.
"I don't understand what your trying to do!!" Yelps out Eren. "You don't have to, just give me your paw!" Barks back the voice.
"Your insane! Mom's death pushed you on the deep end!!" Eren whined. "SHUT UP!!" The voice growls back.
"Get off!! Let me go!" Eren howled and cried in fear. "Darn it, this is the only way!" The voice insisted stubbornly.
"You're not making any sense!! Aaaaahhh!!!!" Eren howls and shrieks, the fear never leaving as he claws the ground, trying to get away.
"Do not forget the key!! Whatever you do, you must reach it! It's the way to the truth! One day you'll understand!!"
Suddenly the sound of bells ringing from the far but close distance, could be heard, snapping Eren awake from his nightmare.
Eren glances around to see that he was within a shed, outdoors. And... before him, Mikasa laid besides him. "Hey, it's okay. You were just dreaming." Mikasa reassures the boy.
"D-Dad was... if felt so real." Breathed Eren as he thought back on the nightmare he just had. "Nightmare? Shake it off." Mikasa tells him.
"O-Okay..." Nods Eren. But Eren takes notice of something. Was something... hanging down from his neck? Eren glances down to see the necklace that held the key his father always kept on him... was with him. His father no longer had it, it was instead, with him.
But why? Where was his dad? Where did he disappear to? Eren wanted to know. Many questions such as these continued to swim about in the back of his head.
But he was interrupted by his thoughts by Mikasa, who stood up and informed him about food. "Come on Eren, let's hurry up. Food rations such as rabbits are being shared in the plains. We better get moving."
"R-Right."
When Eren and Mikasa made it to the plains, many wolves were gathered. Wolves who belonged to Area Rose, and many like them, who once belonged to Area Maria.
But many wolves were fighting like angry animals, for the same food. Well... they are animals. But they were acting like a bunch of savage beast. Not the wolf way.
"Hey... guys!" Called out a faint voice from a ways away. Eren and Mikasa gazes towards the direction from where the howl came from, and it was Armin!
Armin held three rabbits in his jaw and dropped the lifeless creatures before his friends. "They were handing out rabbits, so I made sure to grab some for the rest of us!" Armin beamed.
"I told them about you both, and they said it was alright for me to take three." Armin added. "That was nice." Smiled Mikasa.
Eren begins to eye something that appeared to be towering over Armin. Armin turns around to see an adult male wolf hovering over the pups. He growls under his breath before turning away.
