Author note: Oof I know another one of my Aot stories are already called, "Rescue" but... I can't think up a better name for this particular story. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to name some in the comments.

Summary: It was another day for the Survey Corps member, Kiyomi. She was performing duties in the City of Tross that day. But later that day, she and the rest of her squad was summoned for an important meeting. Levi had something to discuss with everyone. Something that should only be kept between them. Armin Arlert has been kidnapped. It will take time for the ones involved in the investigation to pinpoint exactly where Armin was taken. Kiyomi is unwilling to wait and takes action.

It was another day for the Survey Corps member, Kiyomi. She was performing duties in the City of Tross that day. More than lately she was in a pretty good mood.
It can be hard for a member of the Survey Corps to feel in high spirits, especially being sent on dangerous expeditions every month or so and being forced to watch the death of people you've known and interacted with. It can get very painful. Being exposed to such frequently sometimes can have the ability to completely destroy a soldier.
But no matter what comes and happens, Kiyomi does her best to stay strong. Even if her nightmares tends to haunt her in her sleep. Because humanity now has one final hope.
And there is one particular person who is like a shining ray of sunshine who continues to reassure and promise her of a bright future where everyone can be free and explore the world outside... and to witness the vast sea.
But then... while Kiyomi was in the middle of important work to be done, she was greeted by one of her superiors, Hangi Zoe. In the beginning, Kiyomi used to think Hangi's obsessions with Titans was odd and frightening.
But Kiyomi no longer feels that way. She understands it is necessary to understand the enemy in order to defeat it. And besides that, just sometimes... she feels like Hanji is someone she can talk to.
