Out of nowhere the Colossal Titan had made it's return. It blasted a violent kick with it's foot, right smack into the Wall, and just like three years ago, the Collosal Titan vanishes into thin air and the smaller Titans swarms into the City.

Trainee soldiers are sent on a suicidal battle to help the Garrison out in wiping out the Titan's numbers until the Civilians finished retreating into Wall Sina.

Things were looking very sour for the Trannies, especially since the squad meant to refill the battling soldier's gas tanks had retreated hiding inside the Headquarters. The situation had seemed very hopeless now.

The majority of the soldier's simply coward and cried out their hearts on top rooftops, knowing that this was it, and they've reached the end. This was hell, and there was no hope for survival.

Armin and Kiyomi had to watch their entire squad get wiped out, and they both had to watch Eren die.

Armin was nearly swallowed up whole by a old bearded Titan, and Kiyomi panicked. She was about to rush to his rescue, even if it resulted in her own death, but before she reached him, Eren got to Armin first.

Eren pulls Armin out of the Titans mouth, but in return he gets himself swallowed up and devoured. The loss of Eren devastated both Armin and Kiyomi. And they knew that Mikasa would probably take Eren's loss the worst.

"Eren, NO!!" Armin screams as he outstretches his hand towards Eren before the Titan slams shut it's jaws, chopping Eren's arm that stretched for Armin's, clean off as it tumbled to the ground.

As the Titan swallowed Eren, Kiyomi falls to her knees, and Armin, who was already on his knees, began to scream a heart wrenching scream in horror. His best friend....was gone. And their promise....eradicated.

After screaming so badly to the point, most people would think Armin had lost his mind or gone mad, he becomes silent as he lost his conscious with his bare eyes open.

Kiyomi, a moment after when things turned silent, crawls close to Armin. "Armin...?" She calls out as she gently places her rattling hands onto Armin's shoulder.

Her nerves were jumpy with what all just happened. Especially since they are still in danger with the bearded Titan hovering their level. But it appeared to be in a daze.

After she got no response, and seeing how Armin hasn't moved a muscle, she begins to panic.

"Armin?!"

Kiyomi turns Armin around to be face to face, only to see the light that once gleamed in his eyes ever so brightly, darkened. He stared blankly at nothing. He wasn't here.

"Armin! Armin!!" Kiyomi shook Armin rapidly to still, get no response. She wanted nothing more than to wake Armin up this instant, even if it was in vain, except this wasn't nessasarly the time or place.

Kiyomi, with all her might, carries Armin and flies away using her maneuvering gear aways away to another building. Usually Kiyomi hasn't the strength to carry anyone. But she would do anything to keep Armin safe.

She drops Armin gently down, and huffs and puffs til she caught her breath. After catching her breath, she continues her efforts in waking Armin to help him snap out of it.

"Armin! Please, wake up! Your alive, aren't you?!" Suddenly fear strikes Kiyomi in the deepest pit of her heart. Armin...dead?

She immediately grabs Armin close and places hear ears against Armin's chest and waited. After a second, she hears a loud BA-DUM, telling her that Armin was indeed alive. Another second after that...

"K-Kiyomi? W-W...What are you...?"

Kiyomi's face immediately flushes a deep red as she jerks herself away from Armin, all flustered. Well, that's one way to wake him up it appeared.

"Ah...um..." Kiyomi was trying to think up something to burst out with, but instead, let's out a deep sigh of relief.

"I'm so glad...your okay." She smiled lightly. "Wait...you thought I was dead?" questioned Armin in shock.

"N-No, of course not! At least, I was wishing that wasn't the case. If you were to die....I..." Kiyomi's gaze altered away from Armin as they softened up sadly. It looked that any moment she could break out in tears. Honestly Kiyomi doesn't know what she would ever do if she were to lose Armin. She would be completely broken.

Suddenly it all comes back to Armin. He suddenly remembers what only just happened minutes ago. He remembered how their whole squad was wiped out...and how Eren traded his life for his own.

Upon remembering this, Armin lets out a horrid scream as the memories all came rushing back and he grabs his head roughly as he wails at himself...

"Your so worthless, damn you!! Why can't you just die already!!?"

"Armin!!" Kiyomi shouted, snapping Armin out of it. He opens his teary eyes and lifts his gaze up to meet Kiyomi's face. He saw tears streaming from them. She looked like she could break down at any given moment.

"D-Don't say that to yourself, it's not your fault..! A-And...I don't want you to die!"

Armin's eyes widen in astonishment to hear her say these words. He never realized that she had cared about him so much.

"I...I won't. Sorry for being a nuisance. I'm going to the rear guard." With that being said, Armin stands up with his face casted away as he steps away.

"M-Me too!" Kiyomi insist on coming along. "N-No, please. I've already burdened you enough. Join another squad, you will be a lot safer there." Armin tells her without looking her in the eyes. He jumps off the rooftop and flies across the City streets using his maneuvering equipment.

Kiyomi immediately hurries after him using her own equipment as she flies just always behind him. Both she and Armin looked down below them to see blood smeared everywhere across the concrete ground along with several dead bodies and torn off limbs. This is hell...no, it's been hell but they've all been too blind to see it til now.

Suddenly Armin's anchoring failed to attack to the next building he tried connecting it to, and finds himself crashing into the wall and crashing down on his butt.

"Armin...!"

Kiyomi hurries down and slowly approaches Armin. Armin sobs, and upon noticing Kiyomi's presence, he cries...

"L-Leave me alone!! Just go away!"

Kiyomi is slightly taken aback by Armin's shouts, but expected them. She is silent, doesn't respond to Armin's cry.

Instead, a ways away, sat across from him, sitting herself on the ground, leaned her back against the wall, and wrapped her arms around her leg, wrapping herself into a little ball as she rested her chin on her pair of knees.

She didn't want to find another squad. All she had left was Armin and Mikasa. But Mikasa was totally out of her reach, being stationed by the front guard with the superiors, and Armin...she refused to leave him.

Kiyomi refuses to leave Armin...even if her presence annoys the hell out of him. She's not going to leave Armin to possibly die. And no, it's not that she lacks faith in Armin-- she knows he's more than capable enough to care for himself. But there mere thought of losing Armin...would destroy her. If Armin were to die...she would have truly lost any reason to exist in this world any longer.

The world...its a cruel place. But it's beautiful...and it's home. Because you are in it.
