Andrew’s POV
“Pare anong plano ni Marga, Is she going to join us anytime soon?” tanong ni Peter sakin habang kumakain kami ng lunch sa office ko.
“Malabo pa, she’s actually considering the possibility of working for her mom sa sarili nilang company, but she knows how she’s more than welcome here, pero last priority ata niya mapunta dito.” Sagot ko sa tanong.
“Naman! Hindi siya maggogrow dito Pare.”
“Bakit naman?” nagtatakang tanong ko.
“Kasi naman this place smells Andrew, people will be weird around her given that she’s the CEO’s wife, ikaw pa eh napaka Godzilla mo. Buti nga ngayon mas mabait ka na eh”
“Ayaw mo pa nun, mas bawas Godzilla na ako kasi andito na siya, meh pacifier, saka good boss means good employee relationship” pabiro kong sagot.
“Gago ‘to, good employee relationship, ibig sabihin nun maayos na pakikisama sa mga tao mo, hindi literal na asawahin mo ung staff mo” with emphasis na sagot ni Peter.
“I know, I was just goofin’ around, napaka serious mo kasi, mas pinoproblema mo pa ang hindi namin pinoproblema mag-asawa.” My explanation.
Peter went quiet, his face turned serious. He’s always like this when he’s contemplating whether he should ask a question or not, answer or decline and stay or go.
Pero nalaman ko lang ang sagot ng nag-umpisa na ulit siya magsalita.
“Hindi kasi natanong ko lang, Marga needs to be around you more often, Chantal is back, she’s not taking no for an answer, baka madala ka, given your history with her” kalamdong explanation niya sakin.
“WHAT? Where did that f*cking come from? Never in my wildest dreams have I thought of having the 2 ladies in my life, I’m perfectly fine with Marga.” Naiirita kong sagot. I’ve been doing a good job of brushing aside the thoughts of Chantal and her persistence to be part of me once again and here he is reminding me again.
“Easy man easy” pagkakalmang sabi ni Peter “I’m on your side here. Just making sure you are where you should be”
My situation with Chantal is a simile of having a pile of dust under a new carpet, superficially not there, but you know it’s there, and one day, you gotta clean up after it.
“Pare don’t forget the weekend sa beach house ni Mico” Peter reminded me.
Just when I thought the situation couldn’t get any worse, it comes to a complete fiasco.
An entire weekend with Chantal, what could get any worse than that. Not to forget Marga’s gonna be there too.
Marga’s POV
“Babe, what are you and your friends like?” tanong ko sabaya subo ng hamdesal sa kanya.
“My friends? Syempre tao sila, may paa, kamay ganun” pabiro niyang sabi.
