Ferris Wheel Fears ( One-Off )

James's POV

Adam and I wanted to go to the new fair in town. It was pretty huge but for the most part we did all the small prize games. "Hey you wanna win a fish?" Adam asked. "If I wanted a pet I would need one that wouldn't die in one day. Plus I have a dog already."

We stopped by one of the bottle throws games. What you have to do is throw a bottle into a bottle. "Adam it's rigged." I say as he walks up to it. "People just say that because they don't have a arm like mine." I stare in awe at Adam getting ready to throw his balls into the bottles. I always love Adam's can do attitude even if it is hard sometimes. He's really funny and cute and I really like him...wait huh? Nah. That's weird. During me staring I didn't notice that Adam already lost. "You were right it is rigged." he said defeated. "Let's do this next one together."

We both stepped and we got three balls. I threw the first one but I missed. Adam threw the second one but that didn't work either. We both reached for the third ball as our hands touched. I felt my face heat up as I looked up at Adam. His face was a bit red. I let go of the ball. "Sorry you can take it." I said letting go. He let go as well. It was awkward for a bit but, we threw the ball together. We didn't win but we still laughed about it in the end.

We walked around a bit but I noticed there was a short line at the Ferris Wheel. "Hey Adam wanna go?"

Adam didn't look too happy as he looked at the wheel. "I don't know Jameson. It looks pretty old and tall."

"Aww. Please Adam. I didn't know you were that scared." I said winking at him.

"Fine. We can go but only for one ride." he said.

We waited in line and we got in the the cart. Adam looked a bit uneasy once we got in. "Hey don't worry think is gonna be fun!"

Adam's POV

I was terrified. The Ferris Wheel wasn't in good shape. The cart we were in swinged around a bit went we got in and there was nothing to protect us. I really did think this wasn't gonna go well. But James seemed really into this. James is just a really kind and sweet person and he's just amazing to be around. I didn't want to let him down so I went with him. I felt a little better when he was around.

"Aww man we're gonna go so high were gonna be in space!" he said looked down.

I looked down too and I felt kind of dizzy. We were staring to get pretty high. Before we knew it we were at the top of the wheel until it came to a jolting stop. James seemed to be enjoying the view but I was sitting still trying not to look down again. It was about five minutes until he got bored.

"Um Adam? I-I think we're...."

"Stuck. What? It's only a tall wheel that's been here for like 50 years. Why would we be stuck? We're just taking a really long time to get down!" I said freaking out.

James reached his arm out to me but I slapped his hand away as I started to shake.

"I knew I should of never got on this stupid thing. I knew something bad would happen. Now we can't even get down! We're gonna be stuck here for hours."

"Adam it's gonna be ok." James said trying to calm me down.

"No it's not! I'm hungry, I'm tired, I have to go to the bathroom, and worse of all I'm scared as fuck! AND IT'S BECAUSE IM UP HERE INSTEAD OF ON THE GROUND! WHY DID I EVEN COME HERE WITH YOU!" I yelled.

James looked down and seemed sad. He got up and moved to the other seat on the other side of the cart. We both sat in silence for a few minutes. After that I heard something. "I'm sorry Adam..." James whispered. I looked up at him. He looked really sad and as soon as I saw him I felt a wave of regret. "I should of never brought you here." I sighed as I got up and carefully walked up to James trying not to shake the cart too much.

"James, I didn't mean to yell at you. I should of told you that I'm scared if heights. You were just trying to give me a fun time. I'm just......" I try not to cry but I felt tears at the corners of my eyes. James wraps his arm around me as his silent way if telling me to cheer up. I lean into his arm.

We went back to silence for a while until surprisingly James broke the silence. "You know the stars look really nice when your up here." he said.

"Yeah perfect for a romantic date with a guy or girl." I randomly said. I can't believe I said that as I started to feel like a blushing mess. James was one too once I looked up at him.

"Guy?" he asked staring at me.

"W-hat you got a problem with me liking a guys and girls?" I said. I wanted to run but I didn't have much space to do so.

"What no. I like them too. I just didn't know you liked a guy." he said looking at me.

"You know uh but Jameson. There's a specific guy I like."

"Who?" he asked seemingly interested in what I had to say.

"Well he's blond, he does animations, I've been on his channel and he's been on mine, he's been my friend for a long time and he's really nice to me when I mess up." I say.

James slowly leaned over and kissed me. I kissed back as we started giggling a bit. As soon as we were done the wheel started bringing us down. We got off and we looked at each other. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom and then I want a snack." I said to him. "I'll get food but then and we'll go home. You can stay at my house." he said looking at me. I blush and little and head to the bathroom.

James got us some Subway sandwiches. We ate in the car and we drove to his house. James just sat down on his couch as he leaned onto me. "You sleepy buddy?" I say to him as I get comfy. I hear a small "MmHmm." from James. I close my eye. "Well goodnight. Sweet dreams James." I say to him. He pulls some covers over us as we both falls peacefully asleep.
