Angels and Devils : (Part Ten)

Adam's POV

When James and I got to the throne room there was a line of people waiting for us. Maaz, Jaiden, Tim, and Rebecca were there.

"There's stacks of papers and people you need to talk to James." Maaz said.

"There's some complaints for Adam." Tim said.

I looked at James. He didn't seem too happy talking to so many people all at once but he got on the throne and did it anyway. That's my boy. I couldn't be proud for long because I had to go outside and speak to the public.

Now I like speaking to people, but this was crazy! People were yelling left and right. Why were they so angry? I went up to me woman who had two kids next to her.

"Anything you have to say miss?" I asked nicely.

"Why are you, a demon, here with us angels? What makes you so special?" she said hurrying her kids away from me.

A man with a large beard came up to me and wacked me in the head. "Crazy boy."

"Where are the old king and queen?" said one voice "What do they have to say?" another voice told me. "Where's the prince's right hand?" some dude asked.

So many people were yelling at me all at once. I couldn't think. Every voice turning into the same one. Every insult was a bullet to the chest. Quickly, Tim and Jaiden grab me and pull me out of the mess.

That wasn't the last of it though, when I went outside again people were eyeing me again. I didn't let it get the best of me. I had to get my Royal clothes ready too. They looked similar to James but silver and gold with a short cape. "Hey look at m-" I realize that James wasn't there. I frowned.

After failing to do my job and filing some papers, I had nothing else to do for the afternoon. James told me to wait outside for him at the park. I couldn't wait to see him again. I just waited there. Soon I feel asleep.

"Hey you!" a guy with a raspy voice said. I woke up and looked at him. "Mr. Demon Boi, the park is closed. It is 7:00 so please move." At least he was nice about it. I left the marched back to the castle.

"James!" I yelled through the front door.

"Adam! Oh my gosh. Where have you been?" he asked.

"Where hav- Where have YOU been?!?! I was waiting outside in the park for you to come to me, like we planned and your still here."

"Well it was because I had to deal with the papers, more people were talking about you, and I had so much after that." James said

I looked down and closed my eyes. I calmed down and looked James I'm the eye. "This isn't working." I said.

"Wha...Adam."

"James, you've been living in this very castle your hole life. You've always had huge responsibilities and you've had to do so much and you can deal with it now. But I can't do that. I never had a care in the world back at my place. Hardly anyone cared about anything. Here, everyone hates me, I have so much to do, and we can't even see each other anymore because of the work. I can't be your right hand.... because I'm not ready for it. Everyone else is ready for their jobs....just not me." I said going into my room and locking the door.

James' POV

I gave Adam some space for a few minutes but at some point I had to go back in. The door was locked so I sat against this door.

"Adam, I know you hate me right now. I know your stressed out and so am I. Look, people get scared when change happens, but once they get used to it they will love you. And yeah everyone else is getting used to there roles but that's not you, your different, you need time. You don't need to fit into angel society. Just be the demon I feel in love with. And if it makes anything better....I, Prince James, future King, promise to always make time for my boyfriend Adam everyday and spend the whole day with him on weekends."

Adam opened the door. "You really mean it?"

"Yup!" I pictured Adam up and spun him around as he laughed. We both feel back on his bed and looked at each other. "What about the list?" he asked. "We'll start right now." I said.

"One : Make sure Adam is happy.

Two : Make sure he knows I love him very much.

Three : Give him a passionate kiss."

I read to Adam while rapping my arms around him.  Adam's face started to heat up as I pulled him into a kiss. I felt Adam's tail rap around our waste holding is together.

"What are you doing?" I said while laughing.

"Holding you tight." he said.

I yawned. "Well can you let go because I'm sleeping here again tonight and I want to change clothes." I said

"So you don't keep your a T-shirt under your normal clothes. Shit James..."

"Hey! That's a bad word."

"Oh right, fuck me!" Adam said.

"Hey, that's on the list! But not the these clothes."

Adam started to blush again. "I, uh, I didn't, wait was this...?" I laughed and kissed his cheek. I walked out of the room and went into bed.

"I hate you.... flustering me like that." he said.

"Awww, you know you love when I do that too you. Plus, you love me."

"I know..." he said cuddling me.

Classic Adam : Cuddling me to try to fluster me, and it always works. I cuddled back and we both feel asleep.
