Serina POV
Then what do you want?
I want you all to myself. I want you to be my treasure, mine. But I can't fucking keep you, but I also can not let you go. I want a lot of things Serina, and your death isn't one of them.
I haven't seen him since he said that, he looked at me for a few seconds blankly before he turned and walked out. It's been a week.
But it's not like I cared if he came home or not. Did I really just say Home—Fuck I sound like his little bitch sitting up and waiting for him.
'You are waiting for him' my inner voice said and I wanted to roll my eyes at myself.
Taking a sip from my bottle of white wine, the liquor dulling my senses as I lounged in an oversized T-shirt and sweatpants on the couch. A heap of blankets covers me, a pillow under my head and by my side as vampire diaries plays quietly on the tv in the background.
I've barely moved over the last few days. Getting up to go to the bathroom and shower and change a few times, and once to refill the water bottle that Marco insisted I keep drinking from. Truthfully I didn't care about drinking water, or doing anything.
I hadn't looked at myself in the mirror the few times I'd showered, but I knew I had dark circles under my eyes. Knew that I probably looked like I hadn't slept in days when the truth was I haven't and I couldn't.
I didn't want to be weak, especially here with so many of Lorenzo's men's eyes on me constantly, but I was so close to shattering.
Marco, was sitting patiently on a chair beside the couch, watching me. Always just fucking watching.
"You know you don't have to babysit me—"I said as I spun the wine around the bottle, watching the spiral of the liquor"—I'm sure Lorenzo has more pressing matters for you to be attending to." I growled but kept a smile on my face.
Marco just stared at me saying absolutely nothing.
"Sit and stare and me in silence, okay then." I sighed as I shrunk down in the seat and clutched the bottle to my chest, snuggling down into the blanket that rested over me.
Closing my eyes I again took a sip of the wine. It was almost empty, but I didn't care. It made me feel better. And there were at least two dozen more bottles in the wine fridge in the kitchen.
"You know what Kai said that was weird?" I said as I open my eyes and flipped my head so I could see Marco. I was drunk. I'd been drunk probably for the last few days. So my inhibitions and will to keep my mouth shut was lacking.
