Serina POV

I'd seen Lorenzo angry, but right now he looked evil incarnate. He stood before me in the doorway breathing heavy with his white shirt soaked with blood, The first two buttons of his shirt popped open, his sleeve rolled up.

He stood like a building over me, my height did nothing to rival his. In this room of death, I should be scared. But I'd never be scared of Lorenzo not when I alone was his greatest weakness. His greatest love.

In his hand, he wiped a bloody knife onto his white sleeve, before stepping back and inviting me in further, spinning the blade around in his quick fingers. I contemplated leaving, we'd talked about it before and I wasn't sure if I was ready to face them.

But as I was sitting In my room, just waiting like I had the rest of them, but I couldn't help but feel like I needed this. I needed to do this, no matter how twisted it made me.

His eyes turned twisted, as he watched me step forward more Into the light, closing the steel door behind me.

"I couldn't stay away." I shrugged with a weak smile, as he reached out a hand for me to grab and pulled me to him As I stepped into a puddle of blood on the floor.

"You are always welcome Sparrow." He purred. Tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "But next time, you come down here with Marco or a guard."

I gasped as he crushed me to him, sighing as he leant forward and pressed a kiss on my forehead, dipping his head into my shoulder to breath me in as she shudders and clutches me tighter.

"Fuck baby I missed you." He purred into my skin. There should be nothing beautiful about this moment, but oh how tempting my loved looked dripping in darkness and death.

"I missed you, and Don't worry, I'm sure Marcos right behind me." I smiled a little breathlessly as the door opened and as I'd expected Marco entered not far behind me.

Lorenzo seeming not to care about Marcos entrance, as he didn't take his gaze from me, but I couldn't help the chuckle I let out when I saw Marco glaring at me. Lorenzo had assigned him to keep an eye on me and I'd ran away from him just to keep him on my toes but In my defence I was anxious and bored.

In my defence, I waited at the top of the dungeon stairs and only went down once I saw him at the end of the hallway walking towards me, it's not my fault he's just not fast enough to keep up with me.

"I was just getting started, please tell me you are staying?" Lorenzos thick, husky voice pulled my attention back to him, his grey eyes testing my own, as he dragged the butt of the knife across my collar bone.
