Harry was now lying on the floor, and Jeff was crouched down next to him, trying to comfort him. I ran my hands through my hair. I told him it was a bad idea. I'm bad at talking to people, especially when I have to watch what I say.

Jeff stood up, walking over to me. "What the hell did you say to him?" He asked quietly. I glanced over at Harry, who was lying there, staring at the ground with a blank expression.

"Nothing.. I told you that I shouldn't talk to him. At first, I was doing what you told me to, and reversed what I'd said before. But I don't lie to people, it's not who I am. Besides, he practically pulled the information out of me." I explained, still looking at Harry. He's too sensitive. I'm bad with those types of people..

"Ok, but what did you tell him, that made him like that?" He questioned, motioning to where Harry was on the ground. I sighed. "Well, he knows that I don't like being touched. And he was touching my arm, but I wasn't reacting to it like I used to. So he put it together, and said that I'd been seeing someone. Which, I haven't. And that's what I told him. But, I couldn't lie to him. Now, I see that I should have.. But anyway, I told him that I was sleeping with this guy. And, he got all upset, as if he hasn't slept with a ton of women.. Anyway, I explained to him that I'm not dating that guy, and we aren't in any type of relationship. 'Cause, well, I don't do that anymore. I told him that he wasn't the only guy I wouldn't commit to. But, he was stuck on the idea of me having sex with someone. So.. That's where we are now." I quickly explained.

"Why would you tell him that? You didn't need to tell him that." He stated. I looked at him. "I don't lie to people, Jeffrey. I'm not like you." I replied. He rolled his eyes. "It doesn't mean you have to tell him everything. You aren't lying if you don't even bring it up. Brynn, undo this. Now." He stated quietly..

"How the hell am I supposed to do that?" I asked, just as quiet. "Figure something out. Piece of advice, don't bring up that guy again." He commented. I glared at him. "So then.. I probably shouldn't mention that the clothes he's wearing, belong to that guy?" I asked quietly. He looked at me.

"Are you fucking kidding me? Oh my god, Brynn. You're seriously the worst person I know right now." He stated. "Really? Aw, thanks." I said, pretty proud of myself. He rolled his eyes, and pointed at Harry. "Fix it. Now." He demanded, walking back out onto the porch, shutting that door behind him..

I hesitated, but walked over to where Harry was lying on the floor. I sat down. "You can't do this. I know you're in pain. But.. You can't shut down like this. It won't solve anything." I said. He kept his gaze empty, not focused on any particular spot..

"Okay.. Well is there anything I can do to help you?" I asked. Nothing. I rolled my eyes. "Ok, listen. I'm really sick of you being all emotional and sensitive. You need to get off my floor; for many reasons." I commented. His eyes finally moved, and he looked at me.

"I can't stop picturing him touching you." He said quietly. "You don't even know what he looks like, Harry." I replied. "Still.. You let him touch you." He stated.

"So?" I asked. "You really don't see me, do you? I'm just.. Some guy who you used to know, who's still got a thing for you. Have you even thought of me, at all?" He questioned. I sighed, looking at him. "Harry.. I have. Mainly because Jeff wouldn't stop texting me about you. But, haven't you ever wanted something that you can't have?" I asked. He hesitated. "No. Not really." He replied. I rolled my eyes. "Okay. Well.. I'm not sure what you want me to say to you. I'm not going to lie to you, no matter how many times Jeff tells me to." I commented..

"You could stop sleeping with him." He said. I laughed, looking over at him. "Harry, I don't even feel anything for the guy. It's meaningless, truly." I explained. He winced, rolling onto his back. "It's still sex." He stated. "So?" I replied. "You let him do that.. And you won't even let me touch you." He commented again, clearly distressed. I sighed. "Harry, I don't know what you want me to say." I commented. "Nothing. I don't want you to say anything. I want you to stop sleeping with him." He stated, much louder then I was expecting it to be..

"You can't tell me what to do. I'm not yours, Harry." I said. "Well maybe that's the problem." He replied. I rolled my eyes, and got up, going into the kitchen. I leaned against the wall for a few minutes, and heard footsteps. I expected Jeff, but Harry was the one to walk into the room..

He stood in front of me. "Brynn, please. Give me a chance." He commented. "I don't even know what you mean by that, Harry. I'm not going to date you. We wouldn't ever have a relationship. I don't put those labels on, ever." I stated. "Well, maybe that's okay. Is that the only reason you won't?" He questioned.

"It's complicated." I replied. "Except it's really not." He said, stepping forward and kissing me...
