Ch. 42: A Watery Miracle

After the island of Magic Crafters is destroyed by the electrical field Zapple have set up in the process during the fight between her with Omega, Crash Man, and Dyna Blade, against Shantae and her team Mega Man, Kirby, and Spyro, the ocean is awfully quiet and empty, filled nothing but parts what is left of the island that was destroyed. Everything is quiet for quite a moment, but then later, a burst of bubbles occur on the waters, and a blurry shadow appeared inside the water. That shadow and bubble bursting was the Half Genie, Shantae, who survived the explosion while on the island. Floating on the ocean water, panting for air, Shantae finds herself floating on the waters, all by herself.

"Where am I?" Asked Shantae.

Shantae can see the grassy, rocky, ground parts floating on the ocean water, showing her what is what of the island that she was just at, made her now wondered where Kirby, Spyro, and Mega Man have gone to. Worried about her teammates, she begins to shout for their names, hoping she could hear a respond somewhere.

"MEGA MAN!" Shantae shouted "SPYRO! KIRBY!!"

After shouting a couple of times for her teammates, Shantae looks aside to find bubble bursting near her, and then a blurry shadow. Kirby was the next one to rise up from the surface, finding himself standard on the ocean. Kirby doesn't know where he is.

"Kirby!!" Shantae is relieved to see Kirby is safe "You're alive!!"

Kirby smiled at Shantae and talks with his baby language, happy to see Shantae is okay, made him hug her. After that small reunite, Mega Man (along with Rush) was next to rise up to the surface, and lastly Spyro right after Mega Man, gasping for breath. Shantae and Kirby are burst with happiness to see Mega Man and Spyro has made it out of the explosion in one piece.

"Where are we?" Asked Spyro "Are we dead?"

Both Spyro and Mega Man see Shantae and Kirby safely floating in the waters with them in one piece.

"Guys!" Mega Man added "You're okay!"

"We're glad to see you two are safe as well!" Shantae said.

Kirby smiled in excitement to see partly everyone back together. After united again, the team finds parts of the island floating on the ocean waters, seeing that the whole island is now gone. Spyro seem shocked in despair, made Shantae feel bad for him, and also surprised how she and the rest have survived the explosion after the field wore off during after the final phase.

"Spyro.." Shantae reaches for Spyro, swims towards him to offer him some comfort to make him feel better at least "Are you okay?"

Spyro finds Shantae near him, comforting after seeing him gloomy in despair.

"It's fine Shantae," Spyro claims "really. But thanks for asking. I'm just glad to see you all made it out in one piece."

"That reminds me," Mega Man speaks "Where did the others go? The ones we were just fighting against?"

By the time Mega Man asked about the whereabouts of Zapple, Omega, Crash Man, and Dyna Blade, shadowy auras around them rise up from the surface, forming into a dark sphere in mid air. Already, Shantae and the rest knew what is going to happen next once the dark sphere is done forming. Once the dark aura has finally formed into a sphere, the sphere begins to crack a little, and then later explodes, creating a little, strong force that barely pushed Shantae and the rest. After the aura has vanished, Mega Man now begins to wonder if the others will soon be joining up in the surface.

"That aura." Mega Man added "Something's telling me that we're gonna be expecting some surprises in 3, 2,"

Just by the last second, Zapple is the first to appear up to the surface, gasping and coughing, trying to grab some air.
