Ch. 66: Allies Or Enemies?

With the entire group of the Team Of Heart And Hope; Sonic, Shantae, Kirby (with Falvia), Mega Man, Spyro, and the hairy duo, Banjo and Kazooie went have gone to their selected places and saved the captives they were looking for and freed them from Dark Sin's control who later disappears through the air, our heroes made it back to Dr. Light's laboratory safe and sound.  While they have returned to the Laboratory, Sonic and Shantae were the last ones to come back while the rest got here first. They both face each other in the eyes as they turned to each other. 

"Sonic." Said Shantae "You're back."

"So are you." Sonic responded. 

The two leaders take a look around, seeing the laboratory of Dr. Light's remains the same, with its purple coloring by darkness.  Seeing the two of them are back from their hunt for the captives they rescued and returned to Dr. Light's they wondered if their team has come back from their mission too. 

"I wondered if the rest made it back from their hunt." Shantae added. 

"They should." Sonic responded "Judging how the 7 of them were lucky at first, I don't see why they shouldn't."

Just before the leaders could get a move on to find their team, they heard footsteps nearby, which made them stop for a moment. Up close, it was Hunter The Cheetah, Sky The Bird Trainer, and Bandana Dee that seem to be looking for the leaders. They seem worried judging from their unsettling faces. 

"Sonic, Shantae!" Shouted Hunter "Thank goodness that you two came back in one piece!" 

"Uh, yeah." Shantae answered "We both did." 

"Alright then," Hunter said "Come on now! You need to come with us fast!" 

Sonic and Shantae asked what seem to be the problem here. 

"It's one of her teammates!" Sky explained "Something must have happened to them!" 

What?!" Sonic and Shantae shouted at the same time. 

Bandana Dee tries to tell the two leaders that isn't much time to spare and thus, they must come with them near the Metal Fish quickly. 

"Still not sure what this little dude said," Hunter admits "but your bird friend Sky here is right. Come on! They need you at the Metal Fish!"

Hunter, Sky, and Bandana Dee run back where they came from, with Sonic and Shantae following them. As they followed Sky, Hunter, and Bandana Dee, Sonic and Shantae managed to reunite with their team again and met a couple of allies and rivals the team has saved from various of locations. But as Sonic and Shantae reunite with their team, they found Kirby under a great deal of anxiety, and Falvia under a massive shock disorder, looking absolutely terrified and gasping so slowly and so heavily. 

"FALVIA!" Yelled Sonic and Shantae as they both rush to her for aid. 

They feel Falvia shivering in fear, seeing how scared, like never before. Her fears of what happened during her rescue mission with Kirby have overwhelmed her so. She is that shocked, she has blocked off the surrounding sound around her, unable to hear to the voices of the team leaders and everyone else.  

"What happened to her?" Asked Sonic. 

"Can't be for sure." Said Sgt Byrd (the one that Spyro freed/saved) "Your pink friend just came back with her like this." 

"Kirby!" Sonic said "What happen?" Sonic asked. 

Kirby tried to explain the situation through his baby talk, using certain movements to communicate with his leaders, explaining what was happening during his mission to save Zazz and Daroach back from the Fun House (stage of Bounce Man). Thereafter defeating the two,  Falvia seems to be frozen still, and then just screams, screams out of pain, as if, something was harming her in front of Kirby without him realizing it. And this was during the draining process when Zazz and Daroach were defeated.
