Ch. 26: The Banished History

After Sonic and Shantae's victory over at Freezeezy Peak, Sonic and Shantae cheers on for each other after their big win over this battle. Once they have won, Sonic and Shantae sees Gruntilda and Humba Wumba a bit odd once they have defeated, seeing a dark aura surrounding them both. Sonic and Shantae don't know what is going on, or understand why there is a dark aura around Gruntilda and Humba Wumba.

"Uh, what's with them?" Asked Shantae.

"I, don't know." Sonic answered "But I sure don't like it."

As they continue to watch the dark aura surrounding Gruntilda and Humba, the dark aura began to drain the darkness out of both ladies, forming into a dark sphere in thin air. Both Gruntilda and Humba began to gain back their original colors again as the darkness is being drained out of them. Unlike the other allies and enemies the other heroes had to deal with, the dark sphere that is forming while draining the darkness out of Gruntilda and Humba is getting a lot bigger unlike the other 4.

"That's not a good look." Sonic said.

Once the darkness has completely drained itself out of Gruntilda and Humba Wumba, the dark sphere that darkness has formed into has later exploded in thin air, creating a force strong enough to barely push Sonic and Shantae. After the dark sphere have exploded, Sonic and Shantae have seen Gruntilda and Humba Wumba on the ground, seeing them with their original appearance, also wondering what just happened when the dark sphere exploded and disappeared.

"What was that?" Asked Shantae.

"Don't know." Sonic answered "but it did something to those ladies over there."

Both Sonic and Shantae slowly walk towards Gruntilda and Humba Wumba, seeing if they were okay. Later afterwards, the two ladies begins to wake up, surprising Sonic and Shantae just a bit. Gruntilda and Humba Wumba begins to get back up when they woke up after Sonic and Shantae freed them from Dark Sin's affects.

"What, just happened?" Asked Gruntilda. 

"Humba don't know." Humba answers "But Humba do feel strange."

After they have gone to normal once the darkness disappeared from them, Sonic and Shantae walks up to them and get their attention. Both Gruntilda and Humba see Sonic and Shantae coming, seeing there is someone who could help them.

"Good to see someone here in this icicle popsicle for a world." Gruntilda said "Say, you two aren't from around here, are you?"

"No, not really." Shantae answered "In fact, we're not really from your own world."

Both Gruntilda and Humba Wumba finally gets up from the ground after Sonic and Shantae defeated them in battle when they were possessed by darkness.

"What brings needle mouse and long haired child here?" Asked Humba as she referred to Sonic and Shantae.

"Well, if you haven't noticed already," Sonic speaks up "your world is taken over by a freak name Dark Sin."

"It's not just your world," Shantae added "there are 5 other worlds out there that has fallen victim the same way yours did. And we're here by luck to set things right and restore our worlds before it gets even worse."

Humba asks Sonic and Shantae of how are they going to bring their worlds back to normal. Sonic and Shantae started to explain that they have assembled a team with the other heroes whose worlds have fallen victim to, and avoided being corrupted, and then they explained the best way to bring their worlds back to normal is by collecting the rare stones called Infinite Rubies, powerful sources to shape the universe as pleased.

"And by using its power," said Shantae "we could restore life on the world and bring it back to normal."

Gruntilda questioned on Sonic and Shantae's plan, asking how can they use the Rudy's power to bring their worlds back.
