Ch. 49: A Another Saving Grace

Hello friends! I see you are back for more The Team Of Heart And Hope chapter. I do want to apologize about the beefy delay, where the story is last updated since November 14th, 2020. Please forgive me, things has gotten a bit slippy lately, but now I'm back, and just in time for Thanksgiving too. To start off your Thanksgiving well, here is the latest chapter of The Team Of Heart And Hope, just to give you guys something to read before the big feast. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! With Vortex burned and out of the picture for good, Shantae, Mega Man, and Kirby cheered on Sonic as he managed to defeat Vortex with the final blow. The flames around Sonic have wore off and gone back to normal, surprisingly unburned. Sonic sees no sign of Vortex anymore, smiling that he got the job done.

"Well, looks like Weather Man is toast for sure." Sonic said.

Sonic takes a good laugh for himself for the moment, then the next thing he know, he is up in the dark sky, forgotten that he was tossed into the air. Sonic look down and see how high he is from the ground, knowing he's gonna fall any second now.

"Uh oh." Sonic said to himself.

The moment Sonic looked down, he begins falling down to the ground, screaming in a free fall. Sonic then see he is now aiming at the frozen tower, about to crash into it at full force, where Spyro and Banjo and Kazooie are trapped at. Shantae, Kirby, and Mega Man just watch Sonic falling from the sky as he is about to crash into the frozen tower.

"So, should we do something about Sonic up there?"

Shantae takes a moment to think about saving Sonic, and then rejects the idea as she see where Sonic is going to hit, not seeing it as a big deal since it can help Shantae and the others to catch their breath, and prevent more work for them.

"Nah!" Shantae said "He'll be just fine. If the three of us can survive a island destruction while on we were on it, falling from the should make no difference."

"Huh, good point." Mega Man admits "It just where will Sonic hit?"

"Oh just on that-" Shantae speak.

Sonic eventually hits the frozen tower, destroying the whole tower completely.

"Frozen tower." Shantae finished her sentence.

Shantae, Mega Man, and Kirby runs towards the destroyed tower to check up on Sonic and the rest. When they get there, they found Sonic, Spyro, and Banjo and Kazooie  knocked out, looking all dizzy after that impact, making dizzy noises. 

"See, told you he's fine." Shantae proved. 

Shantae, Mega Man, and Kirby helps out their fellow teammates by carrying them out of the crumbled tower. Shantae got Sonic, Mega Man got Banjo and Kazooie, and Kirby got Spyro. They stray away from the tower for at least 10 feet away before gently laying them on the ground. 

"Kirby," Shantae asked "think you can go and see how is Falvia doing so you can go and get her?" 

Kirby follows Shantae's command and go head out to find Falvia and bring her from the throne room, now that Vortex is no more. Meanwhile in the throne room all frozen, Falvia attempting to be free on her own from the icy strains by using her strength to break free, while using one of the ice spikes that Vortex has summoned while he was fighting the heroes to pull the strains to snap them. Took for awhile now, but Falvia managed to free herself, laying for awhile after trying to free herself. While she was relaxing, she begins to hear the voice of her father again, made her feel anxious to hear her father.
