Briella stood at her front gate, occasionally peeking behind her to stare at her house. Afraid that her parents might catch her outside. Earlier that night after she had dinner, Briella received a text in her snapchat group chat from Ronald. Who thought it would be pretty cool to sneak out when their families were sleeping. And, it ended with Zelda and Briella agreeing as long as they were back in their beds before four in the morning.

Ronald said he would be picking Zelda up first, which was illegal since he only had his learners permit. But, Briella just kind of wanted to leave her house for a little while.

So that left Briella standing acres away from her house, since for some reason it was built so far away from the main road. Which was lucky because from that far distance no one would be able to see Briella unless a light was on her.

With a long sigh, Briella rubbed up and down her arms. It was pretty cold for April, but it was not much of a shock. Her phone buzzed, revealing a text from Zelda saying they were about to turn down the street. So, Briella walked further from the gate, almost in the road. With a giddy smile, her adrenaline pumping since she was kind of breaking the rules just because she wanted to see her friends.

Ronald stopped in the middle of the road and rolled his window down, revealing both him and Zelda, "So, how much for the night?"

"Shut up." Briella laughed while jumping into the backseat, "Why are we going for a hike at this ungodly hour?"

"I figured we needed air." Came Ronald's response as he drove off down 24th street, "Also, it's easy for people to find us breaking quarantine if we're out in public. So, a hiking trail is safer."

"Safer?" Zelda demands, her brows knitting together while shifting in her seat to face him and side profile Briella, "I don't know if I want to get stabby-stabbed in my stab-able stomach by a tweaker."

"How was that english?" Briella asks with concern, leaning her body between the front seats so she could see the both of them.

Zelda pursed her lips, "Because it just was."

"I have missed you both so much!" Ronald cries out with a laugh, "Oh my God, I needed this."

"I think we all needed this." Came Briella, getting more comfortable in her illegal position in the car. Seatbelt not even around her to keep her safe during a crash. "I know I sure as hell did."

Zelda peered back at Briella, "Yeah, I feel so connected while you scroll through your phone."

Briella shut her screen off and placed her phone on her lap, "I was just thinking that my location is on so if my parents find out I snuck out... they'd be able to find me."

"They will never know." Ronald reassured her, keeping his eye on the road, only taking back roads since they could be in so much trouble if they were pulled over.
