Zelda stood on the roof of the movie rental place, wondering how it was even still a place that existed. She kept her arms crossed and wandered back to Briella. She asked her how awkward the ride home was with Derek and all Briella did was say it was boring. But, Zelda could hear her heart, which meant that Briella was lying and something happened. Which only made Zelda stare at Derek instead of paying attention to whatever was going on with Jackson and Lydia. She just wondered if Derek had threatened her or something, which would make sense as to why Briella wasn't telling her what actually happened.

She was also a little scared since she had no genuine clue what was going to happen. Her life before this almost seemed like it was planned out, school and then chores at home. Now she has school and fighting off a psychotic Alpha werewolf that wants her in it's pack. So her life up to now was almost boring, but at least it was safer than being shot at by hunters.

And having an anchor? Why did Briella say it was Stiles? Was it because he had helped during a really bad panic attack? Briella had done the same before but it wasn't as if she was connected to her. Zelda rubbed at her cheeks as she felt them grow hot thinking about Stiles.

"Starting to get it?"

Zelda snapped out of her own thoughts, her eyes looking down to see Stiles and his father, but also Lydia and Jackson. She hadn't really been paying attention, so this wasn't exactly her finest moment.

"Uh..." Scott stood up from his kneeling position, "I get that he's killing people, but I don't get why. I mean, this isn't standard practice, right? We don't go out in the middle of the night murdering everyone, do we?"

"No." Derek answers, his hands deep in his pockets, "We're predators. We don't have to be killers."

Zelda's eyes fell on the dead body being brought into the ambulance, "Then why is he a killer?"

"That's what we're gonna find out."

Zelda and Scott looked at each other before following behind Derek. It led them back to the Hale house.

Scott trudged into the house, not believing that they were still following him, "You know, we have lives too."

"No, you don't."

"Yes, we do!" Scott cries out, noticing how Zelda wasn't even arguing with him, or helping him at all. She was just silent. Granted, she was pretty distracted. "I don't care what you say about him making me his pet or-"

"Part of his pack."

"Whatever." Scott brushed it off, "I have homework to do. I have to go to a parent/teacher conference tomorrow because I'm failing chemistry."

"You wanna do homework?" Derek spat at them, "Or do you wanna not die? You have less than a week until the full moon. You don't kill him, he kills you."

Zelda felt her heart plummet into her stomach, "Okay, who even made up these rules?"

"It's a rite of passage into his pack."
