Zelda rubbed her eyes while walking out of the bus, "Did I just wake up in a slasher flick?"
Scott glanced back at her, "I mean... I've seen worse."
"Where have you seen worse?" Stiles demands while squinting his eyes over to his best friend.
Briella stared off at the motel with a displeased face, "I mean... This is the epitome of the slums of California."
"Listen up!" Coach bellows over everyone's chattering, "The meet's been pushed till tomorrow. This is the closest motel with the most vacancies and least amount of good judgment when it comes to accepting a bunch of degenerates like yourselves. You'll be pairing up. Choose wisely. And I'll have no sexual perversions perpetrated by you little deviants. Got that? Keep your dirty little hands to your dirty little selves!" He pointed his finger at Scott and Stiles, "So no pairing with your girlfriends."
Stiles released a long groan, "Why does everyone say that to me?"
Briella caught the key when the coach threw it over to her, she glanced over at Zelda, "Pair with me?"
"Totally."
Zelda and Briella settled in the motel room. Not until Briella went through and made sure there wasn't anything shady in the room. Like hidden cameras or maybe a dead body. Briella wouldn't be shocked to find a dead body. Both teens eventually fell down onto their separate beds with a sigh.
Rolling onto her side, Zelda looked over at Briella in silence before Briella turned her head to Zelda, "What?"
"Nothing."
"It's obviously not nothing or you wouldn't be staring at me." Briella rolled over to lay in her stomach, keeping her eyes on Zelda before closing them with a yawn, "So, just say it."
"Do you really blame yourself for what happened to Derek?"
Not saying anything at first, Briellla pressed her face into the bed and released a long sigh. But she did this to cover the facial expression that she knew appeared on her face. Letting out another sigh, she pulled herself up in a sitting position. "He was weaker because of me."
"Briella, we were so ridiculously outnumbered in strength." Zelda shifted her eyes away from Briella to look up at the ceiling. She felt like she was getting a headache so she rubbed at the side of her head, "Even if you hadn't have rejected him, I doubt the results would have changed."
"But maybe it could have." Briella covered her face with her hands before she pushed her hair back from her face, "I guess we'll never know."
"Can I ask another question without you redirecting?" Zelda exhales as the pain in her head heightens a little bit, "Like, can you answer me truthfully?"
Briella pulled her legs up to her chest and sank a little bit as she hugged herself, "One question."
"Did you want to reject Derek?"
