Briella pressed her palms on the table with a low groan, she was already so incredibly tired but Derek just wouldn't stop. She leaned further on the table in his loft and glanced back at him, "Derek, please, I just-"

"Go over it again."

She let out another long groan before grabbing her hair in her hands, "I've told her about a hundred times now. What else do you want from me?"

"This is my distraction, just entertain me."

Biting down on her lower lip, she turned around to face him and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, "Uh, we went out one night because we missed each other. We-we've been boxed in our homes because of a virus. Ronald, he suggested a hike-" She just wanted to go to sleep but Derek just continued to press to hear everything. She knew he was using this to not think about Boyd or anything that had happened. "So Zelda and I, we went on that hike. But-But we got lost. And uh... I don't really remember what happened because one minute we were joking around and the next we woke up here in Beacons Hills. Where-uh-where your sister, Laura, she found us. And then she brought us to Deaton."

"You knew my sister."

"I didn't know that was your sister at the time." Briella answered him but noticed the look in his eyes, "If I did, I forgot by now. I don't know. I may have known when I first met you but now I literally can't recall, okay? Can I sleep now? Or at least-" Her phone buzzed again, which was most likely a text from Zelda, Stiles, Scott, or anyone at this point. "Let me answer my texts."

"Your friends are fine." Derek says firmly while crossing his arms over his chest, "What else do you remember? Was anyone else there?"

"No. It was just the three of us." Briella exclaims most likely from the lack of sleep or the fact that whenever she had a free moment, Derek came to her. If this was his way of coping, she understood but at the same time she wished it wasn't.

"There had to have been something else, Briella. Or unless you can explain how you and your two friends miraculously appeared-"

"Derek!" Briella yelled out to him, "I don't know. We stopped to look at a fucking tree or-or because we heard a noise. And now we're here. I'm here. I'm here and I'm tired, Derek. God, if this is your way of being angry because I-I kept this from you then fine! Be pissed at me. Or-or if this is your way of avoiding how you feel right now because-because of Boyd, then leave me out of it. You've got better things to deal with than some magical three idiots who appeared. We haven't caused any problems or issues for anyone. We've been thrown into them but we were never the cause-"

"I imprinted on you-"

Briella was taken back by his outburst, but she shouldn't have been shocked after snapping at him, "Are you saying you have a problem or issue with that?"

"Yeah, I am." Derek says firmly with a scowl on his face, "Because now I worry. About you. I can't have anything happen to you. Ever. And all of this crap about you not being from here freaks me out because that means there could be a problem. And that you could be taken away just like Paige!"
