Briella had a book out in front of her as she sat between Allison and Lydia during lunch, mainly because Allison had snagged her the second she saw Briella was out of class.
"The what of who?" Lydia questions, since she had not been entirely listening to what Allison was saying.
"The beast of Gevaudan. Listen. A quadruped wolf-like monster, prowling the Auvergne and south Dordogne areas of France during the year 1764 to 1767. La Bete killed over a hundred people, becoming so infamous that King Louie the 15th sent one of his best hunters to try and kill it."
Lydia scrunched her nose up, "Boring."
Allison kept on reading since Briella didn't say anything about it being boring, in fact, she was paying attention to her instead of the book, "Even the church eventually declared the monster a messenger of Satan."
"Still boring."
"Cryptozoologists believe it may have even been a subspecies of hoofed predator, possibly a mesonychid."
Lydia still wasn't pleased, "Slipping into a coma bored."
"While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shape-shift into a man-eating monster."
"Sounds like a horror movie." Briella points out, taking some of Lydia's food from her.
Lydia didn't bother to swat Briella's hand away, "Any of this have anything to do with your family?"
"This." Allison says rather excited by what she found, "It is believed that la Bete was finally trapped and killed by a renown hunter who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature. His name was Argent."
"You ancestors killed a big wolf." Lydia stabbed her food with her fork, "So what?"
"Not just a big wolf." Allison turned the book around to show them what she had been looking at, "Take a look at this picture. What does it look like to you?"
"It looks like a werewolf." Briella admits.
Allison smiles over at her and then looked back to Lydia, "Lydia? Lydia!"
"It looks-" Lydia inhaled deeply, "Like a big wolf. See you two in History."
"You know-" Ronald took the book away from Scott, "Giant red book is only making it more obvious. Besides, she's distracted by Briella and her books anyway."
Scott took the book back from Ronald, "So did you come up with a plan yet?"
Stiles took a bite out of his apple and nodded, "I think so."
"Does that mean you don't hate me now?"
"No." Stiles answers rather bluntly, "But your crap has infiltrated my life, so now I have to do something about it. Plus I'm definitely a better Yoda than Derek."
