Briella knew that Jackson had something planned for tonight, which she didn't even want to know at this point. She figured it had something to do with the full moon and probably Derek. She didn't care if he got the bite at this point. He'd been asking for it for weeks. She peered into Jackson's room to see he was on the phone with someone named Matt. Quickly, Briella went running down the stairs and out the front door. She was heading to Isaac's house to see if she could find anything that could help him.
Opening the door, Briella stepped in. It was creepy for sure without the lights on. She heard the door start to creek open. Briella raised her flashlight in her hands and jumped when Zelda screamed. "God-" She placed a hand over her heart, "Why'd you fucking scream?"
"Briella?" Scott asks in shock, "What are you doing here?"
Briella pulled them all inside, ignoring the fact that she had just dragged Derek in as well before shutting the door, "First of all, don't just stand there. Secondly-" She pressed her back against the door, "I'm here for Isaac."
"He's the friend you've been texting."
"Yeah!" Briella hissed over at her, "And now he's the friend I'm worried about because he-" She pointed her flashlight in Derek's face, "-decided to make him a fucking werewolf."
"You know?"
Briella faced Zelda with a deep scowl, "It's not entirely hard to put two and two together. I get a text from Isaac saying he did something, which I'm assuming was to get this damn bite. Then the next day the police cuff him and bring him to the station because his dad has been murdered. And Jackson told me Scott was tackling people during practice today."
"You... You are very mad."
"Am I?" Briella practically sneers over at them, "Jee, I haven't fucking noticed."
Scott swallowed, he never saw her like this before and he was hoping Zelda had but she looked just as nervous, "Is it because we left you out?"
"I-" Briella stopped her angry tantrum for a moment, her anger didn't stem from her friends at all. Her eyes shifted to Derek for a second before she breathed in deeply to calm herself down. "Forget it. I've got a question-" She moved to cross her arms over her chest, "I don't think Isaac killed his dad, no matter how shitty the man was. But if he didn't, then who did?"
"I don't know yet." Derek answered her, his eyes not moving from where she stood as if he was analyzing her.
Scott, knowing that Briella wasn't about to yell some more, shot a look over to Derek, "Then how do you know he's telling the truth?"
"Because I trust my senses. And it's a combination of them." Derek jabbed at Scott with a very knowing expression on his face, "Not just your sense of smell."
Scott winced, "You saw the lacrosse thing today."
"Yeah."
"Did it look bad?"
