Author's POV
Jaemi was sitting Infront of Police officer in the investigation room. Yes , she has been discharged but her health is still sensitive as she is in trauma of getting raped. But after so many struggles and difficulties, she decided to face her fear and tell everything to the police officer.
Everything, the details how she got assaulted, who assaulted her, and how he looked like. She collected courage and decided to give statement.
Police officer is sitting Infront of her looking right at her, waiting so that she can answer.
"Ms. Park do you need water? Are you alright?"
Officer asked her politely. Jaemi simply shook her head as no. She took a deep breathe. Inhale and exhale. She tugged her hairs behind her ears and gulped once.
"I'm ready to give statement now."
Officer smiled at her and nodded. Jaemi once looked down and rubbed her hands against each other and then looked upwards.
"It was the day when my boyfriend was leaving Korea to Germany for his match. It was around 8:30 pm that I left my house. I saw him off to the airport and went towards highway for the taxi so that I can go home."
Jaemi took a pause and gulped as the main story started then.
"Jaemi you can do it. You have to tell them everything what happened to you. It's now or never." She thought.
She took a deep breathe again.
"Then I waited there for around 15-20 minutes for the taxi but nothing got there. It was such deserted that night, no vehicle nothing. It was unusual. Then I suddenly heard bushes moving. I turned around and saw no one. At that time I started to get petrified at that point. I wanted taxi to arrive soon. But then again I heard bushes moving but then I felt someone is behind me. I didn't have guts to turn around to see who is behind me."
At that point her breathing got heavy. Officer immediately gave her glass of water. She took it and drank some sips. Her family were watching her from outside. Her mother got scared when she was out of breathe but got calmed when she saw her getting okay again. Then she continued.
"I felt a sting pain on my nape and then my vision got blurred, my limbs and my other body parts got numb. My voice stopped coming out of my mouth."
Then officer cleared his throat. He looked at her and spoke.
"Ms. Park the culprit gave you a drug injection which made your body parts numb and your vision blur. He gave you lidocaine injection on large amount as less amount is normal to take."
Her eyes widen as she realized the sting pain must be the syringe she felt on her nape. She nodded weakly and breathed in and out.
