Lonely

Annabeth and Percy had gone to college in New Rome for five years. Annabeth was studying architecture while Percy studied Marine Biology.

Years later Percy got a job at a local aquarium. Being the son of Poseidon, Percy got to freak everyone out with his fish voodoo. 

One of the animals, Larry the seal, was always lonely. He would pout and lazily swim around. Sometimes he would refuse to eat. 

"Jackson, come help me figure out what's wrong with Larry." Percy's coworker, Jim, said. They sat on the platform to Larry's tank. 

"He's lonely." Percy stated. Jim, being a mortal, had no clue how Percy knew Larry was lonely.

"What? But you didn't-" Percy shushed him. 

"I said he's lonely Jim." Percy said again. Jim gave him a weird look, "Okay."
