Bill's POV:
He didn't know how he ended up like this. First, he had stayed behind when the tour moved on, hoping to find something that would ease his boredom. The next minute, he had heard a thud, and the beheaded wax body of Dipper was spread across the floor. And now...
...He was in handcuffs.
And two cops stood by his sides, one skinny and tall, while the other was short and chubby. The two had briefly introduced themselves as Officer Blubs and Deputy Durland.
"Looks like we got this punk under control," Blubs said.
"Woohoo!" Durland cheered.
Bill growled under his breath, and tossed a glare at the growing crowd of people around them. His eyes landed on Will, and it looked like there was a shimmer of regret in the younger twin's eyes. Good. Bill was still very much angry with him. Even though, a part of him refused to face his own faults, like not telling Will of their true heritage.
But, he was doing his brother a favour by keeping that a secret! Will would have a heart attack, if he knew they were once Demons that destroyed worlds. At least, Bill had been the one to destroy worlds...
He was snapped out of his thoughts, when there was a tug in his handcuffs. "Hey!"
"Come along, city boy," Blubs told him. "We'll be escorting you to the town's jail, where you'll face the charges of your actions."
"Wait!"
They turned, and saw Will rushing up to them. "Isn't this a little harsh?"
The overweight cop turned to him. "Kid, this guy destroyed public property, what do you suppose we should do, slap him on the wrist and move on with our day?"
"No, but--"
"There's nothing you can say to change our minds," Blubs argued.
Will frowned, and darted his gaze towards Bill. The blond then saw his brother's expression switch to determination. "What if I can prove Bill's innocence?"
The cops stared at him, along with Bill himself. Wait, did Will only decided to believe him now? The blond would've been upset that his brother took so long to do so, but a big part of him was relieved as well.
"What did you just say?" Durland asked.
Will stood up straight. "Give me until the end of the day to prove my brother didn't do it."
Blubs looked at him skeptically through his sunglasses. "You sure about this?"
"Yes," He told him, defiantly.
The cops shared a look, before Officer Blubs spoke again. "Fine. You'll have until the end of the day, and during that time, your brother will be kept in the police apartment. That's my final offer."
"Alright," Will agreed.
"Excuse me, officer," Bill chimed in, turning to Blubs. "You mind if I have a little talk with my brother."
Blubs grimaced. "I'll allow it, just don't take too long."
With that, Bill approached Will quickly, and whispered to him. "Look, I'm glad you finally came to your senses, but how exactly are you going to break this case?"
The blue haired boy bit his lip thoughtfully. "I have been watching a lot of Ducktective lately."
"I'm doomed," Bill said.
"Hey, don't worry," Will reassured. "I know what I'm doing."
"You got your crime solving lessons from a duck!"
