Alright, Daxon and Corbin get a little together time. . .

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I narrowed my eyes slightly as I took a step to the side, Avoiding his hand.

''Sure appears that way. . .'' I muttered back quietly.

I was reaching out to the shadows in the alleyway around me, Calling them to swirl at my feet, Ready to attack if need be.

He tilted his head to the side slightly, His smile growing The smallest bit.

''Easy there, I'm not going to attack you or anything'' He said, Amusement in his voice as if thinking a hero would attack a villain without reason was crazy.

''Mm we'll see. . .'' I muttered quietly, Taking another step back as Cali squirmed around in the bag.

That bit of movement seemed to catch his attention.

''One of your little shadows I take it?'' He asked, Nodding in the direction of my bag.

I frowned, Moving the bag behind myself a little bit so he wouldn't have as good of a view of the bag.

''Maybe. Why.'' I demanded curtly, Going on the defensive at the mention of my dragons.

I didn't like it when people I didn't trust, Notice or even talk about my dragons.

''You're rather protective of them. . .'' He commented calmly, Arching an eyebrow slightly.

''Mhmm'' I hummed quietly, Taking a step away from him.

''If you're so protective of them, Why don't you just turn them back into shadows? They can't get targeted in that case'' He asked, Taking a step closer to me.

I remained silent for a long moment before sighing heavily, Deciding to actually answer his very annoying questions.

''I can't.'' I muttered simply, Moving to lean against the wall.

''You. . . Can't draw them back?'' He asked, Confusion in his voice for a moment before he seemed to understand, ''Ah. . .They're sapient I take it?''

I hummed quietly in agreement as he moved to lean against the wall across from me.

''I see. . .That must be hard to deal with. . .'' He said slowly.

'Ah yes, That's the hard part about being a villain, Totally isn't the constant stream of hate that drives us towards depressive episodes, Or the fact that we're always considered in the wrong or- ' Tene ranted from inside the bag.

Before he could keep ranting, Eige gave the other dragon a sharp bite to the muzzle.

I flinched slightly at the sharp pain that shot across my face briefly before it started to fade.

Sadly, That flinch did not go unnoticed by the hero across from me.

''You alright there?'' He asked, Pushing up off of the wall to move a bit closer to me as he spoke.

''I'm fine.'' I grumbled, Taking a step to the side.

He frowned slightly before nodding, Leaning back up against the wall.

''As much as I'm enjoying this time together, I'm afraid I actually have a reason now for stopping and talking with you'' He said calmly, His warm and slightly gravely velvety voice working it's way into my brain as he spoke, His voice a low rumble.

''And that is?'' I demanded quietly, Crossing my arms slightly.

I didn't know what he could want, And that made me more than nervous.

''Last time we fought, Light seemed to hurt you, Yet, You seemed perfectly fine with heading out into the sun light a few moments ago'' He started, Clearly setting up for the actual question.

I arched an eyebrow giving him an unamused look from behind my sun glasses.

''Are you seriously asking me to tell you my weakness?'' I asked bluntly, Ignoring all lighter ways to put my somewhat annoyed question.

He paused a moment before rubbing slightly at the back of his neck, ''Well, I guess I am in a way'' He admitted before he gave me another one of his annoyingly bright smiles.

''However, you don't have to go into detail, I just want to know if you're safe to walk around without all those shadows on you'' He said gently, A small smile on his face as he stared at me.

''. . .Why in the world would you care?'' I asked, Confused at what he was trying to do.

Is this some sort of plan?

''You may be a villain, But you're still a citizen of of this city, And therefore I am to do what is for the best for you, Just like I would any other citizen'' He said, Warmth in his voice as he spoke.

I stared at him silently for a moment before a bitter chuckle escaped me.

''Sure.'' I muttered sarcastically, I was about to walk away when Cali squirmed out of the bag.

I flinched as Cali smacked face first into the ground, Causing pain to bloom out across my face.

Grimacing slightly, I ignored the hero, Opting instead to comfort my dragon.

Picking him up carefully, I cradled him gently in my un-occupied arm.

'Owie. . .I jus wanted to see what was going on. . .' Cali squeaked out sadly, Clearly feeling guilty for causing both of us pain.

A small smile worked it's way onto my face, I was sure the shadows encompassing me hid it, But it was there despite the shadows.

''It's alright Cali, The pain's going away anyways'' I soothed, Keeping my voice down as I gently ran my hand down the fluffy little dragon.

He let out a small squeaky little purr sound, His eyes closing as the silly little lizard rolled over onto his back, Showing his belly, Asking for belly rubs.

''. . .I better be going. . .'' I muttered to the hero who was watching on in amusement.

''You know. . .When you're not busy causing chaos. . .You're little bunch of misfits are kinda cute'' Golden commented, His velvety voice holding amusement as he turned and walked off with a wave 'Bye'.

'. . .Was he flirting with us or did Cali hitting his head somehow damage mine?' Tene asked after a moment of silence.

'. . .Tene's got a point. . .What is his agenda. . .How would any of this help him?' Eige mused out loud, I could feel the dragon going over every second of our interaction, Looking for any tiny bit of bad intent.

Did that Villain scramble his brains?. . .Surely that's the only explanation. . .
