Annnd, A bit more fluff. . .

--------------------------------------------------------

Ian and I had absently talked with each other as he walked me home, It was oddly soothing.

You'd be very surprised however at how different the city feels when you're in say a villain costume and when you're wearing plain clothes.

The duffle bag with my suit and Tene was slung over my shoulder, Normally I'd be checking it every few seconds, Far too paranoid to trust it to be fine, However I was so distracted by this odd little blonde that I only noticed I hadn't been doing so when we reached my apartment.

''You ever wonder if you're all alone to figure out your powers and everything?'' Ian asked as I unlocked my apartment's front door.

''Ian, Kid. I'm a villain, Remember? I AM all alone to figure out my powers'' I pointed out as I stepped into the dark room.

''Oh yeah. . . Sorry'' He said quickly, His voice sheepish all of a sudden.

I glanced back at him, Noticing he had paused in the entrance.

''Ya coming in or not?'' I asked, Reaching up to take off my sun glasses even as I spoke.

He gave me a small smile before nervously stepping into the apartment.

''How do you see in this place?'' He asked, Looking where I had been standing last.

''What do you mean? It's a little dim but not too dark'' I answered, Confused as I moved further into the cozily small apartment.

''This is as far as I can see in this darkness'' He said, Glancing back at Ian I saw his hand was held out at roughly arm length from his face.

I blinked in surprise before remembering, I could see very well in the dark.

A small smile formed on my face before I walked back up to him, Reaching my hand out and interlacing my hand with his outstretched one.

''Come on, I'll lead you to the couch'' I called back to him as I tugged him carefully through the apartment.

''Thanks, I have a question though'' Ian said as I gently pushed on his shoulders, Hinting that he could sit down on the slightly ragged couch behind him.

''Only one question?'' I asked, Surprised by that.

''Oh goodness no! I have a ton of them but I don't want to annoy you'' He admitted sheepishly, His hand moving up to awkwardly rub at his neck.

I gave him a small smile before I remembered, He couldn't see me.

''What did you want to know?'' I asked, Leaning back as I felt my body relaxing in the familiar darkness, Shadows I had come to know soothing my nerves.

''Why do you not like light?'' He asked, Moving closer to my voice so he could see me clearer in the dim room.

''Well, It burns my shadow dragons which hurts me in turn, Not to mention it hurts my eyes'' I answered, Not noticing the fact I just told him of my dragons at first.

''Your what!?'' He asked, His eyes widening again.

I let out a small chuckle before getting up, Heading for the small little counter that divided the kitchen from the family room.

''Wait, Where are you going?'' He asked nervously, Clearly not liking how dark I keep my home.

''Hold on, I'm just. . . Grabbing somethin- Ah! There it is!'' I answered back while rummaging through the kitchen drawers.

Picking the required item out of the drawer, I returned to Ian.

''What's that for?'' Ian asked, Accepting the flameless candle from me.

''It's not too bright so it shouldn't hurt my shadows or I'' I explained as I turned on the little plastic light.

Sure enough, It's dim little golden light didn't make my eyes sore while looking at it, However, I noticed Ian's shoulders relax slightly as it's light lit up a bit of the area around us.

''So. . . You have dragons!?'' He asked, Leaning forwards slightly, His eyes nearly glowing with excitement.

I stared at him for a moment before chuckling, ''Let me guess, You're a fantasy nerd huh?'' I guessed only to see the blonde blush bright pink.

'Hey, Let the boy speak, Clearly he's got a brain behind those cute eyes' Tene said, Wiggling out of the gym bag I had set him in.

''Oh come on, You just think he's gonna compliment you'' I chided, Pushing the suddenly very interested dragon away from us.

I winced slightly as my head hurt suddenly, The Dark grey dragon having hit his head when he reached the ground.

'Oh come now Corbin, Let him have attention that isn't fear based for once' Eige said, Making Ian jump slightly as the nearly pitch black dragon walked out from behind us.

''What do you mean? Why would I fear him?'' Ian asked, Still staring at my dragons with star stuck awe.

''Well, You see he's a bit of a phyco- Wait'' I started to say before my mind caught up with the fact. . .

He heard Eige. . .

Everyone fell silent, Just staring at the blue eyed blonde in shock.

He looked confused at first before his face steadily turned pink with embarrassment.

''Sorry! Was that offensive? I'm so sorr-'' He started to say, His hands moving up to cover his steadily reddening face, Hiding.

I reached out, Grabbing his hands and moving them away from his face.

''Calm down, You didn't say anything wrong, It's just. . . No one else can hear them, Only I can hear them'' I said, Holding his hands as he moved them back to his lap.

'Until now from the looks of it' Eige added, Hopping up onto my back as Tene returned to the couch.

I opened my mouth, About to ask Ian how he heard them when my phone's alarm buzzed.

''Ah hell. Work'' I grumbled tiredly.

Ian gave me a sympathetic smile, Reaching out to pat my shoulder.

Well, Guess this discussion is over now. . .

He's pretty sweet though. . .

Dare I even say. . . Cute. . .

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, I just can't help but revert to fluff when Ian is in a chapter, Any guesses on how he can hear the dragons?

Anyways! Like always, Have a good day/night and find a better book! - fallen
