Ace Pov!

-----------------------------------------------

My poor little puppet was starting to get rather apathetic, He still was filled with hate and rage. . .But now he gave up far too quickly, Going all dead eyed so very quickly.

I did want to break him, But not like this.

One never quite knows how something will shatter when put under pressure.

So today, I was taking him out while I was doing my 'typical villain things'.

Or as others typically call it, Kidnapping.

I require humans to test on as I had a something new to try out, I refuse to use my little puppet for any of these tests though.

So. . .Here I was, Out hunting for entitled jerks to use, My puppet also in disguise, Following behind me.

''Come now, What's with the sour mood?'' I questioned, Pausing to gently tilt Brion's face up so he was forced to look me in the eye.

He wasn't amused or pleased by my question, His eyes narrowing into a glare as I slowly started to release a bit of my control over him.

Too soon though, His anger ebbed into numb disinterest.

''Oh don't be like that, Where's your fighting spirit?'' I pressed, Gently rubbing my thumb over his bottom lip as I spoke.

''There's no point'' Was his mumbled response, Making me frown slightly.

Well that's not desirable. . .It's good he's no longer trying to escape. . .But I quite dislike this apathetic version of him. . .

Pursing my lips, I thought for a moment before giving him a closed mouthed smile.

''Very well then, Ah look, A target'' I murmured, Drawing the other man's attention towards a very intoxicated man who was cornering a clearly scared and uncomfortable woman.

I made sure to tighten my grip back up on Brion's mind before quietly moving closer towards my target.

He was slurring something to the poor woman that made her pale.

''Such mistreatment, And to this very fair young lady'' I scolded, Summoning a few smoky clones around me as I stopped right behind the slightly overweight man.

He barely had time to turn around before my clones seized him, Restraining and knocking him out as swiftly as possible.

The woman stared at me in dazed shock, Clearly unsure if I was here to help or if I was about to make life so much worse.

''Are you alright miss?'' I checked, Holding my gloved hand out right beside her face, Not touching her yet but clearly asking permission to do so.

''I-I don't know. . .I don't think so'' The poor sweet girl sobbed out, Slowly starting to shake, Her voice wobbling.

Disgusting pig. . .To harm a poor young lady. . .

I carefully reached out, Gently rubbing soothing circles against the girl's back, Letting the sweet girl bury her face in my chest, Sobbing, Her body shaking.

My clones might have 'Accidently' dropped the pig like man a few times while carrying him away.

''Miss, Would you allow me to call you a ride?'' I requested once her shaking settled down a bit, Wishing to ensure she got where she needed to go without any further harassment from others out on the town.

She nodded shakily, Sniffling and trying to fix her now very smeared mascara.

Pulling out my phone, I dialed up the number of my personal driver.

Once I told him my location, I turned back to the woman.

She had some bruises on her arms and collarbone.

''I have someone on the way to pick you up, Tell him where you want to go, He'll take you anywhere you want, Alight?'' I explained to her, Offering her a small little packet of tissues, To which she meekly thanked me.

We both fell into silence as we waited for my driver, Mr. Sam 'Sammy' Harrison, To arrive.

I could feel confusion coming from where I had left Brion, Safely on the sidelines.

Well at least that's better than apathy. . .

Finally, Sammy's car pulled up to the curb, The sleek, Shiny black car standing out in the rather rundown area we were in.

''Ah, Sammy, Thank you for coming at such a late hour'' I thanked, Stepping down to open the back passenger door as he unlocked the car.

''Not a problem sir'' My oh so loyal driver assured me as I helped the slightly more composed lady into the car.

''Please take her where ever she asks to go'' I requested, Carefully closing the door once she was securely inside.

I got a nod and a 'Yes sir' from my personal driver before he pulled away from the curb, Heading back out onto the street to take the woman where she wished to go.

Brushing some dust off my suit, I made my way back to my sweet puppet.

''Well that was an unexpected detour'' I murmured calmly once I was within ear shot of him, Fixing my cufflinks while I spoke.

''Why did you help her?'' Brion questioned as I loosened my control over him.

''Why wouldn't I?'' I questioned back, Nodding to my clones as I started to walk away from the kidnapping site.

My clones dragged the knocked out man across the ground as we all walked away, I was quite unconcerned about causing him injuries so I didn't bother putting in the effort to ensure our trip back to my home was comfortable for him.

''You're a villain. . .And a monster, Why didn't you just take her too to use for your stupid tests?'' He demanded, Some of his fire returning.

I smiled fondly, Reaching out to rest my hand on top of his head.

''So far, I have only once used an innocent person in my tests, I do have standards'' I responded, Moving my hand down to rest on the nape of his neck.

''I doubt that'' My sweet little puppet scoffed, But proceeded to drop the subject.

A fond smile formed on my face before the light level in the alleyway we were walking down suddenly changed.

The sight before me would very easily fit in with many bible passages.

A masked hero with large glowing wings made from beams of light very swiftly landed in front of Brion and I.

I knew the man currently staring me down with a glare, I had received more than a few punches from said man.

Golden. The hero.
