Interesting things are about to go down. . .

--------------------------------------------------------------

The comfort of shadows all around me was starting to wear off, Leaving me distressed as I was unable to reach out towards my shadows.

Tears were starting to form in my eyes yet again.

At least I can move again. . .I'd even give that up to reach my shadows again. . .

It felt weird and very wrong to not have my beloved shadows in connection with me.

I  felt empty, Empty and cold, Very very cold.

Shivering faintly, I remained curled up in the darkest corner I could find in the whole entire room.

My body felt wrong, All the hope and life that once resided in me was nothing more then memories now.

I wiped roughly at my eyes, Slipping my hand up under my mask as I tried to rid myself of my tears.

All my life, It has always been my dragons, My dad and I.

Now. . .All of them were ripped away from me.

In just one day. . .I've lost those I've cared about for the longest time. . .

My throat felt tight with sorrow, My chest an aching hole inside me.

Ian. . . I even lost my boyfriend. . .

A shaky whimper escaped me as my heart clenched painfully in my chest as I thought of all those I lost.

Even if I get out. . .Who knows if my shadows will even come back. . .For all I know. . .My dragons are dead now. . .

Cali. . .Tene. . .Eige. . .Gloaming. . .My sweet little ones. . .

I buried my head in my arms as I pulled my knees up to my chest, My tears starting to absorb into my mask.

The sound of the door clicking un-locked barely registered in my mind as I stared numbly forwards.

I was slowly starting to shut out the world before a hand was gently rested on my head.

Narrowing my eyes, I glared at the ground as the villain crouched down in front of me.

''Hey now, No need to be to glum'' The villain said, Gently tilting my head up with his gloved hand.

Frowning, I jerked my head out of his hands.

'No need to be glum'. Bullshit. . .You took away my powers you monster.

I could feel the tears returning to my eyes as my bitter thoughts degraded into furious, Sad and heartbroken tangled emotions.

''So it worked. . .'' The villain whispered in surprised joy.

''It. . .Worked.'' I hissed out quietly, Fury in my heart as I glared up at him.

He paused before smiling down at me.

''Well, I'll have to try my best to iron out the. . .Pressure, You went through, But other then that it appears to be working'' The villain purred out happily, Sounding very pleased with himself.

''W-Wait, This was done on purpose? You took away my powers on purpose?'' I demanded, My voice quiet in horror and sorrow.

The villain smiled again, His hand moving to grab my face firmly.

''Yes, I did'' He stated simply as he pulled a flashlight out of his pocket.

I realized exactly what he was planning on doing when he tugged the goggles I had on over my mask off.

The lights in this room were really dim, But I knew from experience they'd still hurt my eyes.

I closed my eyes quickly as soon as the other villain removed my goggles.

My shoulders hunched slightly as the other villain sighed, Removing his hands from my face.

''Come now shade, I need to check your eyes, Make sure they weren't damaged'' The other villain explained quietly, One of his hands returning to cup my face with confusing about of care.

I jerked my head away from him, Still refusing to open my eyes.

Before anything else could be done, An alarm sounded through the whole building.

The villain hesitated slightly before gently patting me on my head.

''I will be right back, Try not to move too much just incase there are other side effects of that drug'' The villain said gently before he got up and left the room, Leaving the door open just a crack.

I could get away. . .I could escape but. . .What's even the point. . .

This villain was smart. . .Why would his prisoner escape if they lost all the will to do so. . . All the will to even get up.

My dragons were a part of me, Just as much so as my lungs and my personality. . .

And now, That part was gone. . .

The door was pushed open slightly, Drawing my attention up towards it as I expected to see the villain back to drive the thorn of sorrow deeper into my heart.

Instead, A looming giant dragon with swirling shades of black and grey slowly pushed open the door.

''Gloaming?'' I whispered in shock, Slowly getting to my feet as we stared at each other.

My missing piece let out a animalistic grunt, Clearly trying to communicate with me. . .

''I-I can't understand you. . .'' I whispered, My voice sounding broken as a few tears slipped past my eyes.

The dragon who somehow managed to shrink himself to fit inside let out a low keening sound at that before gently head butting me in the chest.

''What. . .'' I started to question before he bumped into me again, This time knocking me off my feet.

I stared up at him in confusion and hurt before very suddenly the light level in seemingly the whole building went up rapidly.

Before my eyes could be harmed, Gloaming laid down on top of me, Shielding me from the light despite the pain he no doubt was in.

After a moment, The blinding light went back to normal.

I quickly grabbed my goggles, Slipping them back on before noticing that Gloaming wasn't moving.

''I can carry them, There is no need to hold your form while suffering'' I whispered to him, Holding him close.

I couldn't feel them in my mind or my heart, But I'd be damned if I didn't still try and protect them.

I'm going to get us out of here. And I'm gonna fix this. No more crying.
