:D The painkillers I'm taking are making me interesting so we'll see how this chapter goes!

----------------------------------------------------------

'I don't like any of this' Eige whispered to me from where he was curled up in my bag.

''So you've said. Multiple times now'' I whispered back quietly, Keeping my head down as a few of the passing heros tried to get a look at what or who I was talking to.

'Gust is scary like this' Cali whimpered out, Sounding distressed.

I'd be more worried at his distress if we hadn't been having this conversation multiple times for however long we've been here.

Letting out an exhausted sigh, I turned my attention back to the door leading into Hover's private medical room.

Where Gust had been gently guided inside by Hover and accompanied by Ian as moral support.

Seeing as my boyfriend was closer in age to him than Hover, It was decided he might be able to sooth the other hero while Hover worked on the still slightly puppet like acting man.

'Why can't we help Daxon put Ace away?' Tene complained, For the tenth time since we had brought Gust back to my apartment.

Closing my eyes, I sighed heavily as I dragged a hand down my face, Exhausted.

I just want to go home and snuggle up with my boyfriends. . .Forget all about this disturbing day. . .

But I couldn't do that until I was sure Gust would be okay. . .Would have someone he could depend on as he healed.

'I still can't get the lifeless look in his eyes out of my mind. . .' Eige muttered, Poking his head up out of the bag just enough so he could look around, Making my eyes ache ever so slightly.

''Doubt you'd be completely okay after going through the hell he went through'' I muttered back softly, Getting a weird look from a hero who was just now approaching me.

''Are you. . .Corbin?'' The hero asked slowly as I subtly covered my dragons back up.

I was in my civvy clothes at the moment as I had stopped by my apartment before arriving here, Meaning no one knew about my powers or who I was. . .

''Yes, Yes I am, Is everything alright?'' I questioned, Genuinely worried about how the other two heros were holding up in there with Hover.

''I'm not sure, Hover just ordered me to fetch you, I'm sure everything is perfectly alright though'' The hero assured, Their voice softening in the gentle tone that health care workers tend to use towards the loved ones of injured people.

'Well that's a terrible sign' Tene muttered as I got up to follow the hero into the sectioned off room.

As soon as the door closed behind me, I hurried to where I could see three people obscured by a semi transparent screen.

''Corbin? Oh Corbin!'' A familiar voice cried out before I had an arm full of my distressed seeming boyfriend.

''Hey hey Ian, Shhh shh'' I soothed softly as I rubbed my hands up and down his back in an attempt to sooth my beloved as he clung to me.

''He's coming home with us! Corbin! He's- We're not leaving him here!'' My sweet angel demanded, Staring at me with heart breakingly watery eyes.

''Um. . .'' I started before the screen was pushed aside, Revealing Gust sitting on the examination table, Looking way to still and numb for a mentally sound person.

Hover was standing next to the table with a clipboard in his hands and a frown cemented on his face.

Neither of them seemed to be aware of my presence in the room.

Slowly, I drifted over towards the suspiciously quiet hero.

''Hey there, You still in there?'' I asked softly, Leaning against the table as Hover's head snapped up upon spotting me speaking with his patient.

''I'm still here'' Gust muttered in the most monotone voice imaginable.

'He's gone. What do we do.' Tene demanded quietly from my bag. . .Drawing a distressed noise from Ian.

''Well that's good, Can you stand up for me Gust?'' I questioned, Ignoring my dragons. . .As is the wise move in any situation.

As soon as I made my request, He instantly hopped to obey me. . .

Probably not a good sign.

'That's a bit of an understatement.' Eige whispered as Hover finally spoke up.

''Physically speaking, He's very much okay, Just as healthy as he was before he disappeared. But mentally speaking. . .Dear lord. . .'' Hover explained, His voice speaking volumes as to how horrified he was with what had happened.

''I'm not a mind healer. And as soon as I leave this room. I'm sending for the most qualified one we have. Until then. . .Until they get here. Gust is going to need to stay with someone capable and safe. . .Not here at the headquarters since this place is very sterile.'' Hover was starting to rant, Clearly very upset over what's happened to the poor younger hero.

I hummed quietly, Keeping my eyes trained on the hazel eyed hero as Ian moved to cling to my side.

''Yeah, Sorry doc, Leaving him behind was never an option.'' I muttered quietly, Gently moving Ian off of me as I internally questioned why and how I kept just finding and becoming responsible for wounded men.

Maybe I'm cursed. . .

'Not a bad curse though' Eige agreed quietly as Ian picked up his stuff.

''Is there anything the two of us should know before we bring him home?'' I questioned a clearly overwhelmed Hover as he looked through what appeared to be a database of mind healers.

''. . .Just. . .Be very very careful. He's been through a lot. . .And not all trauma expresses itself as you expect it to. . .Remain observant and if anything extreme happens, Have Daxon call me instantly'' Hover warned quietly, His worried gaze fixed on his mostly unresponsive patient.

With a silent nod, I turned my attention back to what appears to be my newest rescue.

''You mind following us out of here?'' I questioned, Watching as he more or less processed my question as a command.

Ian and I exchanged a look before leading him outside.

I really don't like his lack of spirit or will to fight. . .

Really didn't like it.
