Just another chapter of chilling and listening in on things (Late chapter).

-------------------------------------------------------

Sighing, I rested my head in my hand as I sat at a table in the cafe.

I was currently on a short break, And believe me I needed it.

The sudden attention towards this place hadn't lessened since yesterday.

Lots of people came in, Bought a coffee, Took a picture of it and just dumped it in the trash afterwards.

However, Our regulars still came and drank their coffees, And even some of these new people drank theirs too.

I was just exhausted from dealing with people though.

'Close your eyes for a bit, We can stand guard for you' Eige pretty much ordered, The dark bluish black dragon was watching me from under the music box we had in the corner of the shop.

''Mmm'' I mumbled, Not really saying words as I laid my head back down on my arms.

I felt drained, And the minimal amount of light in this room was not helping.

I knew nothing could be done about the amount of light coming in, Still, With my exhaustion, The bright piercing rays of the sun was starting to give me a headache.

Why did my weakness have to be the damn thing human's set their lives to?

Sighing, I raised my arms ever so slightly so I could cover my eyes.

That is barely better. . . Eh, I'm too tired to do much more. . . This'll have to do!

I let out a resigned sigh, Listening in on the people still bustling in and out of the cafe.

From what I could gather, Three people have lost their beloved pets, One lost their kid and 'surprise' 'surprise', None of them bothered to go look for them.

Also someone named Becky was cheating on some jerk named Jack.

This was all very 'Useful' information that I didn't instantly forget with in the first few seconds.

'We should look into those disappearances though' Eige pointed out as I noticed Tene listening in on the two girls gossiping over the whole Becky cheating thing.

''Tene? You wanna come scheme with us?'' I asked quietly, My voice barely audible to even myself.

'Hell no! This drama is getting juicy!' He hissed back, Listening to the two girls intently.

Rolling my eyes, I laid my head back down on the table, My arms resting awkwardly over my head.

'Corbi? You dead?' I heard Cali ask worriedly from under the counter.

''I wish'' I muttered quietly before my shadows fell silent suddenly, A tense feeling running out from them as the bell above the cafe's door rang.

Just another damn customer.

I figured everything was normal until I noticed everyone had quieted down into awe filled whispers.

Foot steps approached the table I was at before they stopped right next to me.

'It's that one dude again, What was his name. . . Dazon? Daxon? Baxon?' Eige provided, Trying in vain to remember the man's name.

''You alright there Corbin?'' A familiar, Slightly rough velvety voice asked.

Of course. Because my day was just going oh. so. well.

''I'm fine'' I mumbled out quietly as I heard the man sit down in the chair across from me.
