'We shouldn't be here. We should be out hunting down the villain who hurt Ian.' Tene hissed out from my bag, Rage radiating out through our connection.

I didn't bother to even look towards the furious dragon, My gaze never straying from where Ian was laying on the hospital bed.

'No. We can do that once we know he'll be okay. . .Until then, We wait and remain by his side' Eige mumbled back, Sounding so sorrowful. . .

An angry growl came from my bag before Tene jumped out, His teeth bared and a steady rumble coming from him.

'Waiting is pointless! I'm going to go crazy just sitting around waiting for him to get better when we can be out ensuring nothing like this happens again!' Tene snarled out, His anger hiding the concern that was unanimous among all four of us.

''Enough Tene. We're not leaving him. . .I'm. Not leaving him. Not until he's awake and aware of what's going on.'' I stated firmly, My gaze trained on my passed out boyfriend.

He looks so pale. . .

'When will Ian wake up?' Cali asked quietly, Crawling out of the bag as well.

''We don't know. . .The doctor hasn't said yet. . .'' I whispered quietly, Tightly gripping on Cali's 'mane' as he jumped up onto my lap.

A worried little 'chirr' came from Cali as he curled up on my lap, Watching Ian as well as Tene continued to rage.

'It's always been the four of us against the world. . .And now that we finally. . .FINALLY had someone standing with us he's being taken from us. . .And we're just sitting here. Doing nothin-' Tene continued to rant before I finally snapped.

''Shut up. Just shut up. I don't want to hear it.'' I hissed out, Letting go of Cali long enough to rub roughly at the bridge of my nose.

''Well alright then. . .'' The slightly raspy voice of Daxon murmured, Drawing my startled attention to the doorway.

He was standing there, Still in his disguise but with his mask off.

''That's a pretty crappy disguise if I can see your face. . .And the shut up wasn't directed at you. . .'' I whispered quietly, Turning my attention back to Ian.

Silence descended upon the room as Daxon sat down beside me, Joining me watching over Ian.

''The doctors say he should be awake anytime from now and next week'' He informed me quietly.

I hummed quietly, Letting him know I had heard him.

So fucking tired and sore. . .

'We should get some rest. . .We've been awake for a long time. . .' Eige pointed out quietly.

Slowly, I shook my head, Whispering 'no' to my dragon under my breath, Forgetting that Mr. Golden man was sitting right beside me.

''What was that?'' The other man questioned quietly, Glancing over at me with mild concern on his face.

''Still wasn't talking to you. . .'' I informed him, Nodding instead towards the dragon slowly crawling out of my bag.

He hummed quietly in understanding, Starting to reach out towards Eige before Tene growled at him.

Clearing his throat, He rested his hand back in his lap.

''You two seem quite close. . .I've heard more than a few rumors that you two have routinely met up together as well. . .'' Daxon murmured quietly, His attention turning back to Ian.

I hummed in agreement, Reaching out absently to gently hold onto Ian's hand.

His skin is so cold and clammy. . .

The cold, Choking knot of worry that had been coiling around my ribs seemed to tighten a bit at that fact.

'Corbi. . .Corbi! I saw his eyelids twitch!' Cali whispered excitedly, Bouncing off of my lap and proceeding to sit down at the edge of Ian's bed, Watching him with excited joy.

Ian was still out cold, But his eyes were moving about under his eyelids, Making them twitch ever so slightly as Ian dreamed.

''Look Shade. . .I know you're close to Ian. . .And he is a very lovable person. . .But you need to keep your relationship as friends only. . .He has a sweet, Albeit a bit grumpy boyfriend already.'' Daxon informed me sternly.

Had I not been so worried about Ian at the moment, I'd be amused that he was trying to stand up for me. . .To me.

Huffing quietly under my breath, I rubbed at my eyes before letting out a heavy sigh and dropping the shadows that I had used to hide my identity.

Lowering my hand, I gave Daxon an unamused look as he just stared at me like I had grown a third head.

''I am more than aware that he's dating someone.'' I muttered, The corner of my mouth turning up ever so slightly in a lopsided half smile.

Saying that seemed to jar him mostly out of the daze he was in.

''Shouldn't you be resting in the hospital?'' He questioned slowly, Clearly still dazed by this little reveal.

''Shouldn't you stay away from a hospital for villains?'' I muttered back, Gently placing Ian's hand back down beside him on the bed.

He hummed quietly, Ending the argument before it could begin.

''Well. . .I can say for certain I was never expecting something like this. . .'' Daxon murmured, Seeming to finally make it out of his daze fully.

'He's taking it well. . .I half expected him to try and arrest us or something. . .' Eige muttered, Surprised.

'Ha. I was betting he'd try and kill us. . .You know how heros are' Tene rumbled.

'Ian's nice, I like Ian' Cali chirped up.

''Ian's the exception Cali. . .He always is'' I whispered, Going back to anxiously petting Eige's 'mane'.

''Cali?'' Daxon questioned, Arching an eyebrow as he spoke.

He looked a bit concerned until I pointed to the dragon currently sitting beside Ian's head, Watching over him.

''They speak?'' He questioned quietly, Seeming surprised.

''Unfortunately'' I muttered jokingly, My words instantly being met with two outraged 'Hey!'s'.

Daxon chuckled before his smile slowly fell back into thoughtfulness, His gaze trained on Ian.

''I have about a thousand different questions for you. . .But. . .They can wait until a better time'' Daxon said gently before we both fell back into silence, Both of us watching over Ian.

Waiting for him to wake.
