I was on the news.

Not my civilian identity but my villain one.

The 'Better days' CEOs were on the run, Having used their private jets to flee the country.

All. Had descended into chaos overnight.

The first words out of Kate's mouth when I came in this morning was, And I quote: 'What the hell have you done Corbin?'.

 I was subjected to the only things being on every channel being news.

News about how 'Bleeding shade was a hero all along!' and 'We must find who he is so his name can be cleared!' among other things.

Turns out Daxon didn't just free the captives.

He also collected enough proof in the form of videos and documents to prove the statements of those captured. . .And proceeded to give copies of said proof to the other heros and the local news stations. . .

Which then spread globally. . .

With the news, Spread word of how I almost exclusively fought them.

All in all, Today was not a good day.

By the time my shift was done, I was so exhausted and sore.

I just wanted to head back home and take a shower and snuggle up in bed with my boyfriend.

But unfortunately. . .I wasn't so lucky. . .

I am never so lucky.

A text came in from grandpa as I was walking home about a group going around nabbing women when they'd get off their shifts.

Since my dragons and I had a reputation for saving kidnapped people among the villain community, We were asked to help. . .Because of course we were.

'I wanna go home and sleep!! Why did we have to stay up so late last night?' Tene groaned out as we made our way through the city, Disguised in our villain costume yet again.

'You know damn well why. We can go sleep once we get these women to safety' Eige reminded him, Floating beside me as I jumped from one roof top to another.

Cali was ahead of us, Following the car containing the nabbed women and more or less acting as a tracking beacon since he was very good at hiding.

'You know, If SOMEONE here wasn't so horny all the time, We'd be a lot more rested right now' Tene muttered sullenly, Making a small smile twitch at my lips.

''Excuse you but I don't remember hearing you complain when we were all cuddling and bathing in the tub afterwards'' I pointed out quietly, Hopping down to an alleyway as the car pulled into an abandoned building with opened parking garage doors.

Funnily, Tene had nothing to say to that. . .Something I'd be sure to be smug about later. . .Once everyone was safe.

Reaching out with my shadows, I sought about for any hidden ways inside.

There were a few too obvious ones which would no doubt be monitored by whoever is inside.

Eventually though, With the help of my dragons, We found a fairly unnoticeable crack that could potentially fit a person through.

With a bit of squirming and again, The assistance of my shadow, I made it into the very very dark building.

I've never been happier to have night vision than right now. . .

'Not even when we're able to watch Ian getting undressed in the dark of our bedroom perfectly fine?' Eige questioned quietly as we approached the distant glow of light coming from the still running car Cali had followed.

I stand corrected. . .

Nearing the car, I started to count the people, Not counting the thankfully still living women tied up at their feet.

Four men stood near the car and the kidnapped women, Clearly the ones to have done the nabbing.

They were quietly arguing with two other men who stood a little distance away. . .The ones who called the nabbing if I were to guess.

Two familiar men.

'Goddamn it it's Ace.' Eige grumbled out quietly from under the car where he had gone to collect Cali.

Ace and that little hero Gust stood a short ways away from the four, One of them studying the captives, The other just as much a captive as the ones on the ground.

Goddamn it of course it's him.

Gust both was and wasn't looking like he was doing too good.

He was looking so very healthy and he was even wearing a new costume, One tailored to fit him even better than his first.

But he looked so dead inside. . .

'Well I mean. . .I'd bet we'd feel very dead inside if we were very literally a human puppet like it seems he is. . .' Tene pointed out quietly, Sympathetically.

Sighing, I closed my eyes briefly before reaching back out to my dragons.

Alright, Looks like we're going to have to take on a villain and a captive hero as well as the kidnappers. . .

'And how exactly do you propose we do that? The villain one is capable of making fucking clones!' Tene hissed out quietly as Eige and Cali both returned to me.

'And we're capable of becoming a giant, Dangerous dragon. Let's just eat him and be done with it. . .We can spit him back out when we're somewhere he can be trapped' Eige hissed back quietly as he dragged a suspiciously quiet Cali over to where I was.

Hmm. . .That might work. . .I can knock the hero out pretty quickly and then it's just a matter of 'taking care of' the four men. . .

'Corbi-' Cali started to say before being cut off by Tene.

'I am not eating him. I am not even considering bringing him anywhere close to my mouth.' Tene snarled out, Disgust painting his every word.

Yeah it would be pretty disgusting to do that. . .

''Really now? That's quite a shame. . .Sounded like an entertaining way to cap off this rather lovely day no?'' A familiar, Chilling, Velvety voice whispered, Drawing my startled attention towards the man who had not been standing across from me a moment ago.

Ace gave me a small, Amused smile as our eyes met.
