Chapter 16
Remember me

I woke up to the boys on the floor in a circle singing, it was awful singing and you couldn't even tell what they were attempting to sing, "Shhhh she's sleeping you bloody morons!" Sirius half whispered and half yelled at the singing boys. "I'm awake Sirius." I groaned, "Morning y/n." James, Peter and Remus said in unison. "Morning boys." I replied still rubbing my eyes attempting to wake myself up. I looked around the room looking for the time and finally asked Sirius, "What time is it?" I asked, Sirius looked to his watch and looked back up to me, "Almost 9." Sirius chimes, "Can you sneak me out in 10?" I asked, "Of course." Sirius smiled.

"I'll see you tonight! Your dress should be in your dorm." Sirius smiled, "You saw it?" I asked,
"No, Remus did." Sirius added, "Oh thank Merlin. I'll see you tonight at 7." I smiled, "See you at 7." Sirius said with a big grin.
I walked back to the Slytherin dungeons and saw Alden sitting on the couch, I walked up to him and sat beside him laying my head on his shoulder, "Where were you?" He asked, "Sirius' dorm." I bluntly replied. I was still half asleep until she heard Sage coming "Your back! Finally. Can I see your dress now?" Sage asked with a huge smile on her face, "Yes." I smiled while pushing myself off the couch, "I'm coming too!" Alden added, they went up to the girls dormitories and my dress was on my bed.
"I'm surprised you didn't look while I was gone." I teased, "I almost did." Sage stated.
I pulled out the dress and showed it to Sage and Alden, Sage's jaw looked as if it was going to hit the floor "Merlin." Sage said astonished,
"Sirius really went all out." Alden grinned, "Right?!" I said with a big smiled on her face.

Hours passed, "Y/n we should start getting ready." Sage suggested, "Yeah I suppose." I added, Sage insisted on doing my makeup and hair. She did my hair into light curls, and did a neutral look. She handed me a mirror, "Good?" Sage beamed, "Wow Sage. Thank you." I smiled pulling her into a close hug.
I waited until Sage was ready to put my dress on, Sage put a beautiful dark blue silk dress with a slit on the left side and turned to look at me and held both sides of the skirt and did a little spin "What do you think?" Sage smiled, "You look .. amazing." I grinned. She looked stunning.
I put my dress on while adjusting the straps and flattening the skirt and I turned to Sage, "How does it look?" I asked, "You look absolutely beautiful!" Sage beamed.

We walked out of the common room and were supposed to meet Alden and Sirius at the bottom of the stair case. So we made our way towards the great hall smiling and laughing about how excited we were. We finally reached the top of the stairs and looked down to see Sirius and Alden laughing away, Sirius in a black suit with a red tie he looked gorgeous and Alden in his navy blue suit matching with Sage and then Alden hit Sirius in the arm and he looked up and a big grin spread across Sirius' face, I looked around and everyone around was whispering and looking up at Sage and I, but seeing Sirius felt as we were the only people in the world.

I slowly walked down holding my skirt up off the ground to prevent her from tripping, I reached the bottom and Sirius grabbed my hand kissing it gently and looking at me and whispering in my ear "You look gorgeous."
I got butterflies from just one compliment and then he pulled out that mysterious box that Remus had when they picked out the dress, he opened the box taking out a gorgeous black diamond ring, the centre stone was a black diamond, with black accent stones around the ring and engraved inside the ring said "Remember me." And all the memories flooded back from when he came to my carriage on the train and told me "Please y/n, remember me."

My thoughts were interrupted by Sirius beginning to speak "Y/n, you are the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on, and I adore you with my whole heart so will you be my girlfriend?" Sirius looked incredibly nervous but kept a smile on his face, "Yes of course." I smiled and I pulled him into a kiss as everything around me felt like it was spinning, I pulled away and a big grin filled his face as he placed the ring on my finger and then I heard the cheers coming from a distance.. it was the boys. Of course
"ATTA BOY PADFOOT!" Remus yelled, James was clapping "I knew you could do it!" James smiled, "You finally did it!" Peter laughed. Now the boys were surrounding us "I did a pretty good job with the dress hey?" Remus chuckled, while Sirius nodded in agreement. "Very good." Sirius chimed.

Sirius took my arm and pulled me into the great hall, there were black and gold decorations everywhere, Mcgonagall and Flitwick truly out did themselves. Students scattered the great Hall with people dancing all around, as I looked to Sirius, he looked back and took her hand and pulled her to the floor and as soon as they were in the middle of the commotion a slow song began, I placed my arms around his neck and his hands were on my waist. He pulled me close letting me lay against him, "Oh no." Sirius whispered, "What?" I asked, "My brother is here.." Sirius responded. I turned to see Regulus with a 5th year Slytherin she was gorgeous. She had blonde hair and blue eyes, and why am I jealous? I'm with Sirius and I shouldn't even be still looking, Then Regulus looked at Sirius,then me and gave us both a disgusted look and walked away with the blonde. The night went on and I had spent most of it with Sirius and time to time with Remus. I went to go dance with Remus and I could hear Sirius from across the room "HANDS." Remus' hands were barley even on my waist he was truly to scared of Sirius, even though Remus was at least 5 inches taller than Sirius.

That's when Étienne approached me, he was in black suit, with a navy tie, he looked naturally handsome as always. "Y/n." He smiled, "Étienne." I smiled back, just being friendly.
"One dance?" He asks, I looked at him hesitantly, "Sirius will be.." I began, "As friends." Étienne intervenes. "Why not, as friends." I smiled back.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me in, how is he good at everything? He's smart, charming and can dance? Wow. We were talking practically about nothing, Id asked if he'd brought a date, he'd said no, as he was going to ask me, but then the game ruined his plans. It had only been very few minutes when Sirius intervened.
"Long enough Marcel." Sirius groaned.
"Sirius.." I said, he was clearly mad.
"He's not your date." Sirius replied.
"We we're just dancing as friends." Étienne clarifies, "I was trying to catch up." Étienne said apologetically. "Well, times up." Sirius says sternly while grabbing my hand and pulling me away. I didn't know how to feel, I get it's his protective side, but i'd like to be able to have other friends.

"Why were you with him?" Sirius asked, "He asked for one dance, as friends. We've talked a bit before, I thought it'd be fine." I replied.
"Marcel. Yeah get yourself in the right crowd. Next thing you know he'll want you to become a death eater." Sirius retorted. "He's a good person." I replied. "Oh yeah, totally." Sirius replied sarcastically.
"What if people assumed you were bad person? Just because your family are pureblood supremacists?" I asked him.
"Well i'm not." He replied. "See." I said, "You were stereotyping. If you knew Étienne you might like him." I stated. "Not after him kissing you." Sirius said grimly. "That was awhile ago." I retorted. "Still." Sirius said. "You'll be okay. I swear." I laughed.

Some time passed and the room felt to be getting awfully hot and Sirius was thinking the same thing, "Do you wanna get out of here?" Sirius asked, "Yes please." I replied, Sirius took my hand and brought me up to the astronomy tower and we took in the fresh air. Sirius pointed to the brightest star in the sky and smiled "Oh hey that's Sirius!" He beamed, I pointed at another "Oh and there is epsilon virginis!" I smiled, "You take astronomy?" Sirius asked. "I did for 2 years , but this year I didn't. I kinda wish I did. But next year I will." I replied. I looked to the ring and looked to Sirius "You really didn't have to." I mumbled, "I wanted to." Sirius smiled. "Merlin I don't know how long I can take your wealthy arrogance." I laughed and with that he leaned in slowly as my heart skipped a beat his lips placed on mine and he wrapped his arm around my lower back, my hands went to his hair, soft and luxurious as silk. He trailed his kisses down my neck, and my knees felt as they were to collapse as he continued kisses up my jaw until his lips met mine again and this made my core weak.
His hands travelled as if having a mind of there own and the sound of rain began to fill our ears. The smell of petrichor filled my senses. Then I had come up with a brilliant idea. I pulled away from the kiss and Sirius gave a confused look "Y/n? Are you alright?" Sirius asked concerned, I smiled, "I have an idea."

I pulled Sirius through the halls and brought him outside, "It's raining." Sirius complained, "Oh suck it up." I laughed as I pulled him out by the black lake. We ran in the rain until we reached the black lake you could see the reflection of the stars and the sound of rain slowly falling around them. In the distance you could hear music playing from the great hall and that's when Sirius and I began to slow dance as the rain fell and soaked our hair and attire. They laughed and smiled and then Sirius beamed
"I adore you y/n l/n."
