Chapter 38
Fair enough

It was breakfast when I sat down at the Gryffindor table beside Sirius, I ignored the weird looks I was getting from fellow students and continued on my conversation with Dorcas, "Sirius is a total asshole." She laughed, "In 3rd year, the boys and him put bleach in our shampoo. We had to go to Mcgonagall to get it fixed!" She complained, "You bitch!" I laughed while hitting Sirius in the arm,
"So worth the month of detention." Sirius smiled looking to James, "Totally." James chimed.
Our conversation was interrupted by Dumbledore passing a note to Sirius and walking away, "That was odd." James inquired, "Very." I added, "What does it say?" Remus asked.

Sirius passed me the note,

Please only share this with James, Y/n, Regulus, Remus and Peter, meet me in my office at 9 AM and do not tell anyone.

"What time is it?" I asked Remus, "8:49" he simply replied, "I'll go grab Reg and then we will leave." I inquired while getting up and going towards the Slytherin table, "Reg, we've got to go." I said and he simply nodded while getting up and following without further question.
I met up with the rest of the boys at the entrance and we made our way to the Headmasters office.
"What do you think this is about?" Sirius asked as we rounded the corner towards the headmasters office, "Probably one of your stupid pranks." I teased,
"It has to be about the death eaters attack." James added, "Woah, James being serious? I thought I'd never live to see this day." I laughed,
"Lucky you, it's a one time thing." James smiled.
We arrived at the entrance, "Sherbet lemon." Sirius announced and the gargoyle statue began to turn, "How much do you visit this office?" I laughed, "A lot, we just hangout with Dumbledore." Sirius teased, but still Regulus stood silent.

"Ah, thank you for coming on short notice and missing class, I've already informed Minerva you would not be arriving. Please take a seat." Dumbledore said while motioning us forward to the 6 chairs he had set out. "Now, what I am about to tell you, may never leave this room." Dumbledore warned with a stern glare as we all nodded in agreement. "You all are very aware of the dark lord, some of you more than others." He inquired while looking amongst Sirius, James, Regulus and myself. "Your making it seem like you want a group of misfit 15 year olds fight him." Peter declared, "That isn't exactly my point, but I would like your help." Dumbledore suggested. "So your suggesting, we fight along side you?" James implied. "I want you 6 to start an army." Dumbledore informed, "Sick!" James exclaimed, "Can we name it?" Sirius cackled, "Wait? You want us too?" Peter asked, "You trust us? Of all people." Remus laughed.
"Yes, yes, yes and yes." Dumbledore sort of laughed.

"Your saying you want six 15 year olds start an army, why can't you do it? I mean you are the headmaster." I questioned. "Because I can not, this army is a secret. Only people we can trust can join. Lestrange and Avery are not allowed as there parents work for the dark lord." Dumbledore implied, "Well my cousin is working under the dark lord, why should I be allowed, and Sirius" Regulus asked, and that was the most words he'd said since the incident, "I trust that you won't tell her." Dumbledore specified.
"Fair enough." Sirius confirmed.

"Tomorrow, be here again at 9 AM. We will specify details." Dumbledore announced before motioning us to leave. We all got up and headed for the exit while Sirius took my hand in his, "This is exciting!" Sirius smiled while squeezing my hand tightly, "This is risky," I corrected.
"What's the worst that could happen?" He asked,
"The dark lord finds out, kills us all?" I suggested,
"Fair enough." Sirius mumbled.

A week had passed and Dumbledore has informed us that we will not be forming this so say 'Army' until next year. But the summer was approaching faster then ever and I couldn't wait, we're all staying at the Potters for a month. I cant decide if it will fun, exhausting, irritating or all of the above. "Well, the end of the year is approaching.." James began, "And..?" Remus asked, "We should throw a huge party." James confirmed, "I agree." Remus, Sirius and Peter said in unison. "Let's invite all the houses, the night before we leave so we won't have to serve detention." James boasted, "if they forget." Peter laughed, "they won't even know about it." James smirked, "It's almost impossible to avoid a party with over 400 students.." Remus laughed,
"When have we failed anything?" James asked.
"Yesterday you asked out Lily for the what? 20th time?" I chuckled, "Hey! She's falling in love with me.. slowly!" James snapped back.
"Slowly..  like as in your dreams..?" Sirius added laughing.

"Sirius! I swear I won't hesitate to take y/n, right now." James smirked, "Yeah, sorry to break it to you Sirius but I'm actually in love with James, I've been waiting for this moment my whole life!" I teased. James stood up walking towards me taking my hand as we jokingly stormed out of there dorm. "Should we go for a walk to piss him off?" I laughed, "We should!" James smiled while letting go of my hand as we sprinted out of the common room and from the distance could hear Sirius and Remus yelling.

"How long do you think it takes for Sirius to come sprinting out of that door?" James asked,
"2 minutes give or take." I replied, "I agree with that." James laughed but we were both wrong when Sirius came running out of the common room, "You know what! This is perfect I'm in love with Lily!" Sirius shouted a little too loud and younger Gryffindors overheard and began to laugh, "That was a joke! We're just joking!" Sirius yelled at the Gryffindors. The Gryffindors just giggled before scurrying away.
"We were both wrong." I said to James,
"Wrong about what?" Sirius asked,
"Nothing." We both said in unison before bursting out laughing.
