Kass returned with many arrows of all types and a hot breakfast for us and as we ate we planned and Teba told us all he knew of the Divine Beast and it's weaknesses.

Teba is going to act as a distraction for cannon fire while I, riding on Kass' back, will shoot the cannons with bomb arrows as those are the only type that will do any damage. Teba gave me some more, but even with that I only had a few so I had to make every last one count. He said the same as the elder, only Champions can go on the Divine Beasts, so our only choice was to blow the thing out of the sky, though because I supposedly felled the other beasts, I could be a descendant of the Hylian Champion. I told him I didn't fight anyone alone, I had Sidon fighting along side me, Yunobo protecting me, and chief Riju leading me, I may be skilled, but... even if I should have done so on my own, to become stronger and gain more experience, I couldn't have felled any of them without help. Teba thought with three warriors as skilled as ourselves, we could take on the Beast even without the blood of the Champions.

Teba also asked me something. Why am I doing this, other than searching for my memories. He told me I danced around it earlier, but he wanted to directly hear me say it, as well as Kass, his reason for fighting the Beast and why he left. I... just can't sit back and watch. Kass... he said he wanted to protect his family, that was his reason for both questions. He left Rito Village to find someone who could be the next Champion and play them the songs his late Master wrote and found for the Champions. The songs were puzzles for specific shrines, any Champion should be smart enough to solve them. His master was a Shikah and he was intended to play the role as a guide of sorts for the hero, or at least that's what he wanted to do before he died. And so Kass took it upon himself, after all... the world would never be truly be safe till the Calamity is killed and some hero would have to do that. Kass said that however, he never found a hero, but he did find a very kind man, one who wears his heart on his sleeve and draws his power from others, a man with courage to keep fighting even when hurt, a man who just wanted to see people happy, who went out of his way to do even little things to that end. Kass thought someone like that was much more powerful than some hero so he sang the man his songs and found a cherished friend. And after his friend was healed, he led him to his home because he probably was the only one who could save his family from the immediate danger of Vah Medoh.

The way Kass smile and how he spoke... I just felt so... I don't know, warm, safe? I'm not sure how to describe this, but... what I do know is I'm glad I'm his friend.

Teba seemed satisfied with our answers. He still doesn't completely agree with Kass on leaving when he did though. And so, we took off for the sky.

The sunrise is simply gorgeous from up there. I was surprised to hear even Kass and Teba were feeling the cold up so high, I thought it was just me. A feeling of complete dread washed over me seeing the thing, unlike the other Beasts it's a true and immediate danger, the others were more so slowly building up natural disasters around them, but Medoh has already killed and injured so many. It has a barrier, a pink sort of light engulfing it, thankfully it's cannons are attached to what make the barrier so destroying them, destroys the barrier.

The cannons are fast, nearly grazing both Kass and Teba in quick succession. I wasn't sure if Teba would be enough or be alright. Kass however told me to not underestimate him. Teba is a strong warrior, and I can rely on him and Kass himself too. Of course I'm relying on them, but anything can happen in battle, but I know the best I can do for both of them was to focus on the fight and so, that's what I did.

Whenever I wasn't firing I had to clutch onto Kass, he did everything he could to avoid the fire, dive, loop, go upside down, at times I got completely disoriented, but he still got me openings to fire and that's what was important. Teba played a huge part in that as well. Perhaps it's because no others I know of can fight in the air and rarely ever having done so myself, I think the Rito may be the most skilled in combat by far, they are able to fight, even in the wind, rain, snow, with no stable footing, they can rely on only themselves, literally nothing else. Honestly it felt as if I wasn't even in Hyrule but some other plane of existence. The air felt so thin, I could hardly breath, my vision was blurred, my head so light, and my heart felt as if it were beating so quickly I couldn't feel it anymore, even my whole body was growing numb from the cold, I felt so hot yet frozen at the same time. The Rito are truly amazing if they can put up with this so often, they don't go this high for hunting usually, but it's still so impressive. And Teba, he shot at the thing to try to gain it's attention, how he can fly and shoot, I'm not sure I'll ever know. Teba says I'm skilled but compared to him, I beg to differ, he and Kass are astonishing.
