when marina, hayden, laura, and amelia showed up at the fat lady, lily was standing in front of it, waiting for them. she was in a gryffindor jumper with sweatpants, her hair in a messy bun.
marina and hayden had already changed, but laura and amelia were going to wait until they got into the girls dormitory, for they didn't want anyone to see them walking around in their pajamas.
marina was wearing a yellow and white jumper her mum had made her, her dad's old shorts, with her hair in two braids. hayden had her hair in a ponytail, a holyhead harpies t-shirt with loose leggings.
"finally! i was worried i was going to get caught by filch." lily said. she told the fat lady the password, and the portrait swung open, muttering something about loosing sleep.
"laura and amelia can go change, alice and i will put your stuff away." lily said as they reached the spot of the common room alice, marlene, dorcas, and mary were seated.
"thanks again, lily." marina said, handing lily her bag. "it's no problem!" lily said, waving her hand. laura and amelia followed her and alice upstairs, and hayden sat on the couch with dorcas and mary, while marina sat on the floor with marlene.
"so, what are we going to do tonight?" hayden asked. everyone shrugged. "probably the usual stuff, talking, pillow fights, laughing a lot." marlene said.
after lily, alice, laura, and amelia came back down and sat down, they began question hayden on her relationship with peter.
"seriously, he hasn't asked you to be his girlfriend yet?" marlene asked. "the ball finished half an hour ago!" hayden said defensively.
"still, he could have asked you during, or right when it ended." laura said. "i say give it time. i hate when people rush into relationships." marina said.
just when lily was about to say something, the marauders waltzed into the common room and took seats near the girls.
"hello ladies." sirius said, winking at them. "why are you guys in here?" james asked. "lily invited us for a sleepover." laura snapped, staring them all down.
"can we please not fight?" hayden asked, putting her head in her hands. "i agree!" peter said. "of course you do." mary muttered, earning a glare from james.
"i'm not fighting anymore, either." marina said, throwing her hands up. "look at little miss perfect." remus said mockingly. "fuck off!" laura said loudly.
"oi, no cursing in the gryffindor common room." sirius said. "oh, please! the amount of curses that come out of your mouth in here should be illegal!" marlene snapped.
"do you guys always fight like this?" amelia asked lily quietly. "yeah." lily muttered back. "can you guys just leave us alone?" she asked the marauders.
"yeah, can i ask hayden something though? in private?" peter asked. hayden quickly stood up and followed peter to the far side of the common room.
"oh god, he's asking her." remus said. "asking what?" marina asked. "he's asking her to be his girlfriend." he explained, not looking back at her.
everyone looked over them. they couldn't hear, but they saw hayden nod her head and hug peter tightly, lingering slightly.
they made their way back, hayden sitting back with her friends and peter with his. everyone stared at them.
"what?" they both asked in unison. "what happened?" practically all of them asked. "oh, we're dating now." hayden said, shrugging.
they heard three loud squeals, and, surprisingly, it wasn't any of the girls. it was sirius, james, and remus. they all began jumping up and down, hitting peter on the shoulder and head.
"and they call us dramatic?" dorcas asked. "wait, wait, wait." laura said, causing the three boys to calm down slightly. "are we going to have to hang out with you dorks now?"
"what do you mean?" marina asked quickly. there was no way in hell she would be spending time with the marauders. "i mean, since hayden is dating peter, won't he be around more? and i never see him without you guys." laura explained.
"oh, yeah, you'll be seeing a lot more of us." james said, an evil grin growing across his features.
