three days after the conversation with remus, marina woke up to an ear splitting headache, an awful stomach ache, and a dry throat.

she heard the voices of her friends, but quickly shoved her face into her pillow, trying to stop the overwhelming pain in her body.

"marina! you have to get up!" she heard amelia sang as her voice came closer. marina groaned painfully. "oh, you're awake."

marina poked her head up, and looked at amelia, who seemed to immediately know what was going on. "oh, dear." she said, rushing into the bathroom.

hayden and laura watched her as she put warm water onto a rag and pour water into a cup and rush back over to marina.

"are you sick, blondie?" laura asked, walking over as she tied her hair into a loose ponytail. "seems like it." marina grumbled, taking the rag from amelia and pressing it against her forehead.

"what hurts?" hayden asked, looking quite worried. "my head, my stomach, and my throat." she mumbled, lying back down.

"you should go to the hospital wing. we'll take you." amelia suggested. "i'm not walking out like this." marina said, not even bothering to look at them.

"it's early, the only people out will be people like charity." laura said. she was right; charity wasn't in the room.

"fine, but you guys should probably stay a little away from me, i don't want you getting sick." she sighed, standing up, using the bed for support as she slipped on her slippers.

she grabbed her robe as she went out the door and quickly tied it around her, thankful for it, as she had slept in only a tank top and shorts.

the four girls quickly walked out of the hufflepuff common room and made their way to the hospitals wing, which was, unfortunately, on the other side of the castle.

they passed by a few people, but all in all, laura was right in saying how not many people were out, as the corridors were practically empty,

as the doors to the hospital wing came into view, marina saw james, sirius, and peter, patiently sitting outside, almost like they were waiting for someone.

hayden quickly went over to them and kissed peter on the cheek once he stood up, causing him to blush a deep red.

"what's going on?" laura asked, placing her hands on her hips. "i could ask you the same question." sirius said, mocking her by putting his hands on his hips.

"marina is sick." amelia said shortly. the three boys looked at each other in what seemed to be pure horror, before james cleared his throat.

"marina, madam pomfrey is very busy, so maybe you should just wait it out in your dormitory." he said. marina glared at him.

"i can only see two people." she snapped. she couldn't see the faces of these two people, but madam pomfrey didn't seem to be too busy.

"and those two people could be very ill!" sirius said, looking at her like she had just broken the law. "yeah, don't be inconsiderate!" peter added, but looked down once hayden shot him a look.

"i'm going in." marina snapped. she attempted to walk past the boys but they put their arms out to stop her.

"boys!" she said loudly, getting annoyed. her head was pounding, and all she wanted was medicine.

thankfully for her, madam pomfrey must have heard her, and she came rushing outside, looking a little worried.

"boys! i thought i told you to go back to your dormitory!" she said to the marauders, minus remus, of course. marina had no idea where he was.

"sorry, miss, we just wanted to take out good friend, marina, here. she seems to have fallen ill." james said, gently placing a hand on marina's shoulder, which she shrugged off.

"come in." madam pomfrey said, turning on her heel. "don't freak out." sirius whispered in her ear as she walked in.

what the hell did he mean by that?

so...where's remus ?
