marina was almost certain that remus was not going to get the proof he promised.

it had been three weeks, almost four. hayden and laura were going back to normal and marina was putting the whole thing with remus behind her, as she only talked to him when they did rounds together, which had only been a couple of times and she barely responded to him.

today was saturday, another hogsmeade weekend. everyone would be out getting their delphinus ball outfits, except marina, who's mom was sending hers from this boutique in their town.

marina was woken up by charity shaking her and she quickly jumped up, muttering a quick good morning to her.

for some reason, charity had been nicer to them ever since hayden's break up. she took hayden's notes when she was too tired to go to class one day, she brought laura her breakfast when she didn't feel like going, and even comforted marina about her problems with remus.

"today will be just like old times!" amelia said happily, tossing her short hair up into a loose ponytail. "charity, do you want to join us?"

charity looked up in surprise, before shaking her head. "thanks for the offer, but i have plans with someone." she said, before walking out of the room. "i wonder who she has plans with." hayden said thoughtfully. "probably herself." laura snorted, causing hayden to toss a pillow at her.

marina chose to wear a black dress with tiny gold stars all across it and black tights, throwing on some boots and bringing a jacket; she was tempted to wear remus' jacket, as it was sitting on the top of her trunk, but decided against it.

"i saw that." laura said to marina as they left the dormitory. "saw what?" marina questioned, smoothing her dress down. "you wanted to wear remus' jacket." she said. amelia and hayden glanced back as marina quickly shook her head. "i haven't given him or his jacket a second thought." she lied.

after breakfast, the four hopped into a carriage, planning the day. they were going to go dress shopping, then go get butterbeers at the three broomsticks, get some christmas gifts at the little shops, and look at the shrieking shack.

"now, i would say nothing is going to go wrong today, but we all know what happened last time i said that...so let's just hope for the best." hayden sighed as the carriage began to slow down.

"what kind of dress are you guys looking for?" marina asked as they hopped out of the carriage. "pretty so i can show peter what he's missing!" hayden said, thrusting her fist into the air. "same here, except with sirius." laura said.

"i don't think i'm going to buy a dress, actually." amelia said, looking down and fiddling with her thumbs. "why not?" laura asked. the group stopped walking and stared at amelia. "i'm think about getting a suit." she said finally, still not making eye contact with the rest of them.

the three others squealed.

"yes! we have to help you pick it out!" hayden said happily as they began to walk again. amelia looked up finally and smiled at the girls, not trying to hide the relief on her face.

they made their way to a small little boutique next to the three broomsticks and went inside, thankful for the warmth.

"holy helga." hayden whispered the second she saw a dress. marina turned around and saw a long pink dress with floral designs going up and down it.

"yup, this is the one." hayden said, picking up the dress. "damn, that was fast." laura breathed out, before turning around.

laura and amelia spent the next half hour looking around the shop, finally buying a suit and a dress.

laura's was...a lot. it was a long black dress with mesh sleeves and a black skirt, with almost a leotard underneath it.

amelia got a completely sage green suit that looked really good on her, as always.

marina couldn't wait to get her dress from her mom in a couple of days.

as they were leaving the store, marina turned away to look at something in one of the stores, and, just her damn luck, she slams right into someone, falling hard on the ground.

"marina, i'm sorry!"

marina looked up and saw remus, holding out his hand. are you fucking kidding?

marina quickly stood up, ignoring his hand. "sorry about that." she muttered before attempting to walk by him, but he stepped in front of her.

"can we just...can we talk?" he asked.

guys...i'm super sorry. but this is just a lot. from here on out...never ending story is discontinued.

HAHAHHAHAHA KIDDING i'll see y'all tmr
