for anyone who doesn't know, maya hawke is the face claim for stella ! so this chapter will be told from her point of view ;)

stella noticed that marina was gone during lunch. she noticed her friends standing outside the great hall, deep in conversation, and immediately put two and two together.

unlike the people outside, she immediately knew what happened. marina was stressed out about all the drama and went back home. she would be back in a week or so, and she informed severus and regulus this.

her assumptions were confirmed the next morning when she received a letter from marina, explaining everything that happened with her grandparents, whom stella hated.

but she was quite confused at the p.s. what could she mean by that? she was less oblivious? marina was oblivious about a lot of things.

stella decided to take it up with marina's dorm mates and the marauders, who, unluckily for her, were all sitting at the gryffindor table.

"i'll be right back. make sure i don't get jumped." she told the two boys, who nodded. she quickly walked over to the table, ignoring the whispers and glares she got.

"hey, marina is alive." she snapped. the seven people turned their heads to look at her. "where is she?" remus asked. stella was confident those were the first words he had said to her. that wasn't insulting her, of course.

"home, obviously. she chose to go home." she explained. she flashed the letter to them, but put it back in her pocket when sirius tried to grab it.

"i don't think marina would want me telling you guys her business." she scoffed. "is everything alright? i knew she was sick." remus said. "she's fine, why do you care?" she asked. remus turned red and looked away.

"i'm only telling you all so you can stop sulking." she muttered. "it's not like she's dead."

"that's what i've been telling them!" james said, throwing his hands up and pointing at stella. "get your hands away from me potter or i swear i will send merlin himself on you." she snapped.

james immediately put his hands down.

"pathetic." stella muttered, before turning on her heel and walking back to her table.

stella had to admit; she hated marina not being there. it had only been a day since she left, and only three hours since she received the letter, but she still found it very difficult.

"well, her friends are being less sulky." regulus said at lunch as he bit into his chicken. "you say that like it's a good thing." severus muttered. stella hit his shoulder.

"i just hope she comes back soon." she sighed. "i also need her notes for herbology."

as stella was standing up, she noticed remus walking over to her table. "why the hell is lupin walking over here?" severus asked as he and regulus began to stand up.

"probably because he's in love with her." she sighed as he approached them. severus stepped in front of regulus a little, as though protecting him.

"hey, stella, can i ask you something about marina?" he asked, ignoring the other two near him. stella nodded.

"did she say anything to you about leaving? anything at all?" he asked. "the only thing she said was in the letter. she didn't say why, but i can assume." stella told him. remus raised his eyebrows, but stella did not continue.

"listen, you and me both know the reason she left. if you want confirmation, man up and mail her yourself." she snapped, before walking by him.

severus and regulus walked by, regulus smiling weakly at remus. stella could be scary.
