the morning the classes started again, marina was woken up by laura, splashing water all over face. she sat up immediately, almost falling out of her bed.
"good morning, goldilocks!" laura said cheerfully, putting the cup of water on her bedside table and walking away. "did you have to get my hair wet?" marina asked groggily, picking up a piece of wet hair and holding it limply.
"only way to wake you up." laura said, shrugging. "not at all!" marina said, tossing her duvet aside and standing up, wincing as her feet hit the cold floor.
"okay, i have a proposal." hayden said as she came out of the bathroom. she was already dressed, except for her tie, which amelia rushed over to help her with.
"yes?" laura asked, shaking her head as she tried to perfect her hair. marina thought she was having a seizure the first time she did this.
"okay, so, you know how this weekend is a hogsmeade weekend?" she asked. "yeah," marina said, slipping on her polo shirt. "me and peter are going to be accompanying one another." hayden said. the dormitory erupted into cheers, except charity, who rolled her eyes and walked out.
"but, we don't want to go alone." hayden added. the three girls looked at her suspiciously. where was she going with this?
"so, we were thinking of inviting his friends and you guys! so all of us could hang together!" hayden finished quickly, absentmindedly picking at her sleeve.
"not happening." marina said. "definitely not," laura snapped, throwing her hair in a ponytail. "i would not enjoy that." amelia said, smoothing out her skirt.
"oh, come on! his friends agreed to it!" hayden complained, tugging at her tie. "i refuse to believe his friends agreed to it." laura said, rolling her eyes. "can you at least think about it?" hayden begged. the three girls exchanged glances, before nodding. hayden beamed.
"thank you, thank you, thank you!" she said, before skipping out of the dormitory. "why would his friends agree to it?" amelia asked, apparently thinking hard. "no idea, but i'm going." laura said. the two girls looked at her oddly.
"i don't want hayden to be upset. also, if the bitches say shit, i can beat their ass. we won't be in school!" laura said, before following hayden out the dormitory.
"she just wants to see sirius." amelia muttered under her breath.

when friday night came around, and charity was off doing her rounds, hayden asked if they had decided their answer. laura told her how she would be happy to accompany her and peter to hogsmeade, and marina instantly was filled with guilt.
she really did not want to hang out with the marauders, but she also didn't want hayden to be mad at her. "i'll do it," amelia sighed, and hayden squealed happily.
"what about you, marina?" hayden asked. marina thought hard. on one hand, she could make hayden really happy, on the other hand, she would have to spend her day with remus lupin.
"yeah, i guess i'll do it." she muttered, plastering on a huge fake smile. "yes! yes! thank you guys!" hayden said, jumping off her bed and dancing around.
"what are we going to do tomorrow?" amelia asked. "all i know is we are going to the three broomsticks." hayden responded, shrugging. "as long as we go to honeydukes, i'm fine." laura said, lying back on her pillow and staring at the ceiling.
"yeah, and i need to visit the postal office, i have to send a parcel to my mum and dad, but i don't feel like using the schools owls, and my owl is being a brat." amelia said. the three girls nodded; amelia's owl was a jerk.
"do you have anywhere you want to be?" hayden asked marina, looking over to her bed, where marina sat. marina fought the urge to say, "not hanging out with the marauders."
"no, i'll just go wherever you guys want to go." she said, shrugging. "okay, now all of you shut up, i need my sleep if i'm going to be hanging out with the bloody marauders tomorrow." laura snapped, pulling her quilt over her body.
"love you too," hayden said sarcastically, collapsing in her bed. marina turned over and shut her eyes tight.
this was the first time she was dreading a hogsmeade trip.
