marina woke up to laura pouring water on her head the next morning. she didn't miss that.

"laura!" she yelped, flying out of her bed. "morning, sunshine!" laura sang as she rushed into the bathroom to avoid marina throwing her pillow at her.

"i hate you!" she called as laura slammed the bathroom door shut. "and don't shut the door, i have to come in there!"

marina took her hair out of the messy bun it was in, thankful it didn't get wet, and quickly went into the bathroom, where laura jumped back with her toothbrush in her mouth.

"relax." marina muttered as she began to play with her hair. laura sighed and began attempted to press her hair down, something she never does.

"who are you trying to impress?" marina asked, raising an eyebrow at her. laura turned scarlet and shook her head.

"laura ryann, do you have a crush on someone?" marina asked, turning her body to face laura's, who was looking everywhere but marina.

"no, no, no." laura said, still avoiding eye contact. "is it one of the marauders?" marina asked. laura went the color of hayden's flaming red hair.

"do you like remus?" marina asked, her voice low. laura snapped out of whatever she was in. "godric, no!" she said.

that's when it clicked.

"you like sirius!" she said. laura smacked her hand over marina's mouth, shushing her. "don't say that loudly!" she hissed as she slowly removed her hand.

"i'm totally going to fangirl." marina said, before turning on her heel and rushing out of the bathroom.

"are you ready for our first day of classes?" hayden asked as she tied her tie. "so ready." marina said, glancing back at laura, who flipped her off.

"i'm sure you're excited to see peter more, right hayden?" she asked. laura choked on air in the bathroom. "oh, so excited!" hayden said happily, slipping her shoes on.

"and i'm sure you're excited to see remus." amelia said jokingly. marina glanced at charity's bed, which was empty, thankful she wasn't in the room.

"he's my friend, so yes." marina grunted, turning her back to her friends. "friend. sure." hayden giggled. laura and amelia began to laugh too.

marina has no idea what they meant.

"of course, first class on mondays is defensive against the dark arts with gryffindors." amelia sighed, looking at her schedule. laura glanced over at marina's.

"jeez, marina, you kept arithmancy and history of magic?" she asked, eyeing her oddly. "i feel like gross just looking at that."

"you feel like gross? that's not proper english." hayden corrected her. laura rolled her eyes.

after breakfast, the four girls quickly made their way to the defense against the dark arts room with.

professor merrythought, the professor of d.a.d.a, was standing at the front of the class, a wide smile on her face.

"come in! come in!" she said, beckoning everyone to sit down. marina sat down in front of remus and peter with hayden. "hello, love." hayden said, turning back to peter.

"hello, love." marina mocked in a high pitched voice, turning to remus. "well, hello, dear." remus replied in an equally high pitched voice.

"okay, okay, i get it." hayden sighed, while peter just laughed. remus and marina snickered.

"you have a great high voice, remus." marina complimented, making peter laugh harder. "thank you? i think?" remus said, chuckling. marina winked and turned back around in her seat.
