remus looked back down at his book in pure terror and confusion.

he saw what marina had written and saw what book she had written it in. he studied her handwriting quickly. marina was the person he had been writing to.

but that didn't make any sense.

the person he was writing to was such a thoughtful and caring person. sure, marina was nice, but this person in the book had so many more layers to them.

remus glanced back up at marina, who had picked up another book and was now reading that one, the astronomy book underneath a potions textbook.

"remus? are you alright? you look like you've seen a ghost." james asked. remus snapped his head in the direction of james, and everyone slowly looked up at him.

"no, no, i'm okay. i'm really okay." he said, clearing his throat. "are you sure?" marina asked. she lifted up her hand and felt his forehead and cheeks. "you seem warm. maybe visit the hospital wing." she said. remus shook his head.

"i'm just tired. i'm just going to head back to the dormitory. bye." he said quickly standing up and rushing out, leaving his books on the table.

he had made it out of the library and was only a few steps down the corridor when he heard footsteps behind him.

"remus, what's wrong?" sirius asked, falling into place with him, james and peter not far behind. "you guys didn't have to follow me." remus mumbled, closing his eyes shut and shaking his head. "we wanted to. what is going on?" james asked.

remus sighed, before walking over to a wall and leaning up against it. he took a look around; the corridors were still crowded, but not as crowded as they would be during the day.

"remember that book i started writing in last year? the one with the girl?" he asked, crossing his arms as the three others surrounded him. "yeah, of course." sirius said. "you wouldn't stop talking about it for a month."

remus rolled his eyes. "well, i just found out who is was." he muttered. james and sirius gasped dramatically, while peter practically flinched.

"you emphasized on how much you didn't want to know who it is so much!" peter said. remus nodded. "well, who is it?" james asked.

"marina."

"shit!" james said. "no way! no fucking way!" sirius exclaimed loudly. peters jaw hit the ground. remus shook his head at their reactions.

"shut up, you're drawing attention!" he hissed. james and sirius stopped talking, and peter closed his mouth. "she was writing in it tonight. that's how i saw it." he explained. james scoffed.

"i'm sorry, but that's just stupid." he muttered. "don't call her stupid." remus snapped. james put his hand up defensively.

"are you going to tell her that you know?" peter asked. remus shook his head quickly. "i just won't tell her." he said. "you'll still write, though?" james asked. he nodded.

"it'll be easy!" remus said confidently.

good evening.
