the walls were a sickening green color. black liquid seemed to be oozing out of every crevice. marina had never been more scared in her life.

the place she was in had to be some sort of maze. every corner she turned was the same as the previous. what was happening?

she finally turned a corner and saw a small window. she rushed to it, realizing it was getting smaller and smaller with each step she took. when she finally reached it she could only look through it with her eyes.

she peaked through and gasped at the sight. remus, stella, laura, hayden, amelia, and felix were all up against a wall, though it didn't exactly look like them.

their eyes were upside down, drooping down their face, their smiles twisted into an awful smile, their teeth were stained black. black tears were streaming down their faces.

then another person came into view, though marina didn't know who they were, as they had a mask and a hood on.

they pulled out a large object, lifting it very close to remus' head. it was very obvious what they intended to do with it.

"no!" marina tried to yell, but no sound came out. instead, her voice came out in a sharp laugh. she saw all her friends heads turn and their smiles turn into frowns at her.

"stop! don't hurt them!" she attempted to yell, but the sharp laughter came out again. the person lifted the object up very close to remus' face, almost touching him with it.

"don't hurt him!" she finally yelled out. her voice came out shaky and desperate, but at least it was her voice.

"marina! marina!"

marina could hear a voice, but she didn't know where it was coming from. "help! help! they're going to kill him! kill them!" she screamed.

"marina! wake up!"

marina shot up and almost fell off the bench she was sitting on. it must have been a dream.

she looked down and realized she was sitting on a bench in a corridor. she must have fallen asleep here after classes.

marina finally looked up and saw remus looking down on her, worry painted on his face. he seemed to have been the one who had woken her up.

"hey, you're okay. you were just having a nightmare." he said soothingly, bending down and grabbing her shoulder. marina gave him a week smile.

"how did you know i was having a nightmare?" she asked, sitting up slightly and scooting over so remus could sit down on the bench with her, which he did.

"you were shaking and saying something along the lines of don't hurt him." he told her. marina blushed with embarrassment and looked away.

"don't be embarrassed about nightmares, i have them all the time." he said, grabbing her hand softly. marina looked back and smiled.

"do you want to talk about it?" he asked. marina quickly shook her head, not taking his eyes off of him.

"it'll be okay. i know pretty much everything about nightmares, so if you have one again don't hesitate to come ask me." he said.

"why do you have nightmares often?" she asked, gripping onto his hand slightly tighter. remus shrugged. "personal shit," he muttered. "i don't want to bore you."

marina knew he was lying, but didn't want to pry so she just nodded her head.

"besides, nightmares aren't so scary when you think about it. we are all living through at least one nightmare." remus explained. "what do you mean?" marina asked.

"well...like when we stopped talking. i suppose we still aren't on good terms, but that's a nightmare that i wish to wake up from every day. you know?"

marina blushed and looked down. "that was cheesy, sorry." he muttered. "i thought it was sweet." she said, smiling.

remus gently grabbed her chin and titled her head up, and before marina knew what was happening, they were kissing.

marina gently lifted her hand up and caressed his cheek as remus moved her hand to the back of her head, pulling her closer.

they moved back, marina trailing her hand hand down his face and to his neck. "i've been waiting to do that since hogsmeade." he breathed out.

"same here." she whispered.
