after everyone was done in zonko's, they visited the postal office for amelia, then they went to scrivenshaft's quill shop so remus could buy a new quill, and then finally made their way to the three broomsticks.

during the walks to different places, remus had been trying to make conversation with marina, though she had no idea why. but, she had to admit, remus was a good person to talk to. they talked about o.w.l's coming up, chess, and remus asked her a couple questions about astronomy, for he knew she was interested in it. everyone did.

"what's your favorite constellation?" he asked as they walked into the three broomsticks. "probably the cassiopeia." marina said thoughtfully. "why?" remus asked. marina shrugged. "it's really pretty, and the greek goddess, cassiopeia, is very interesting." she said. "isn't that the one who boasts about her unrivaled beauty?" remus asked. marina nodded.

to marina's surprise, they were able to find a booth that fit everyone, though they were sort of tight. marina sat in between remus and laura, remus sitting next to james and laura sitting next to sirius. next to james was amelia, and next to sirius was peter and hayden.

marina squeezed her legs towards laura, as she knew it would be very awkward if her legs touched his. even though they had talked, it did not mean they were friends.

everyone ordered a butterbeer, and laura went right back to threatening sirius. "if you were going to threaten me the whole time, why did you sit next to me?" sirius asked, looking her up and down. "you sat next to me." laura said stubbornly. sirius scoffed. "sure, princess."

laura rolled her eyes. "can we go to honeydukes after this?" she asked to no one in particular. "yeah, i need to go there." james agreed. "i'm okay with it as long as everyone else is." hayden said. everyone nodded.

they got their butterbeers and everyone sat in silence, drinking it. marina loved the way the hot liquid oozed down her throat, and the way the foam got on the top of her lip like a little mustache.

"so, laura, who do you think will win the quidditch cup this year?" james asked, looking over to her. laura, who was drinking her butterbeer, slowly moved the cup away from her lips. "i really want hufflepuff to win, but the loss from ravenclaw is putting as behind." she said. "i'd have to say gryffindor."

"i have to agree with you on that one." james said, a smug smile on his face. laura looked down, a little upset. marina knew that laura's one goal in life was to win the quidditch cup, and she hadn't done it yet.

"but, i have to say, if hufflepuff beats slytherin next match, you would definitely have a chance of winning." james added. laura looked up and smirked. "i think my team can beat them." she said. "that's the spirit!" james said happily.

everyone became immersed in their conversations, and laura and marina began talking about random things. all of a sudden, laura playfully pushed marina, and it wouldn't have been a problem, but marina wasnt expecting it at all, so she completely rammed into remus.
