CAMILLA'S POV

We landed in the drawing room of the Manor and my stomach sank as I looked around. "Ok, I'm here. Now let him go," I said. "Nathan, what's this? I told you to bring back Camilla, not Camilla and friends." a dark voice said. We turned around and my father and 4 death eaters walked in. "The barkeep tried to help her escape." Nathan said. He let go of Gavin who immediately bowed to my father and held out his arm with his mark. "Ah, one of mine. What is your name?" my father asked. Gavin stood up and looked at him. "Gavin Gates" he said. My father laughed. "You're the boy who volunteered for his brother, the one I killed," he said. "Yes sir," Gavin said, gritting his teeth. "And helping my daughter is what? Revenge?" he said. Gavin glared at him. "No sir, I wasn't helping her. I didn't know who she was."  he said. "It's true, I told him my last name was Carter. He didn't know" I said. Nathan scoffed. "Bullshit. Check his memories." Nathan said. Gavin and I looked at eachother. My father drew his wand and before I could react, Nathan grabbed me. "Legilimens," he said. Gavin fell to the floor as my father pierced his mind. "Stop!" I yelled. Eventually, he did and my father was furious. "You disloyal scum! How dare you lie to your lord! I am your ruler!" he yelled. "I'm sorry, sir. I didn't-" Gavin started. "Please, please don't hurt him." I said. My father smirked at me. "He won't feel a thing," he said. Then with the flick of his wrist, Gavin's throat was slit and he fell to the floor. "No!" I screamed. I ran to him and held my hands on the wound. Gavin just looked at me. "Win, you have to win," he said weakly. Then he died. Tears fell to my cheeks and I stood up and wiped them away. I pointed my wand at my father and he smiled at me. "Are you going to kill me, daughter?" he asked. My father walked closer so my wand dug into his chest. "Then do it-" he said with an evil grin. I stared at him and tears filled my eyes. I dropped my wand and it clattered against the floor. "I'm not going to kill you. Despite everything you've done to me, your death... it belongs to Harry." I said. "Pathetic," he said. "Agreed" Nathan added. My father nodded at him. "Take her to her cell, I'll deal with her later." he said. Two death eaters grabbed me and started to pull me away. "Before you go father, I have something to ask." I said. He sighed and turned around. "Do you want to tell Nathan about Charlotte O'Malley or should I?" I asked. My fathers face went pale and he froze. "I know the truth. All of it. I know who she was, what color her tie was, and I know how she died. How she really died. And Nathan is going to know too." I said. Nathan looked at father and then me. "Who's Charlotte O'Malley?" he asked. "Our mother," I said. Nathan's face fell. "Our mother died during childbirth and you know that," he snapped. I stared at our father. "Either you tell him or I will." I said. "Father?" Nathan said. He walked closer to him. "What is she talking about? Is she- is she telling the truth?" he asked. "You don't know anything. Nobody knows." he said. "Dumbledore knew." I said with a smirk. His face dropped. "Go to your room, Nathan," he said sharply. "What? No! I want to know-" he started. "Are you disobeying orders?! I said go to your room." he yelled. Nathan glared at him and then glanced at me. "Fine" he huffed. Then he went upstairs. The death eaters gripped me tighter and I winced. My father grabbed the roots of my hair and forced me to look at him. "Dumbledore was lying." he seethed. "No, he wasn't. You know how I know?" I asked. "How?" he asked. "You always favored Nathan. And now I know why. Because even before everything, you see her everytime you look at me, I'm a Gryffindor, just like her. You hate me because of it but it's also the only reason you still want me." I said. He stared in shock. "You say it's because you want my power, but that's not it. It's because you loved her. Even though you killed her, you did love her. And so even though you see her when you look at me and you hate it, you also know that Nathan and I are the only thing you have left of her. That's how I know it's true and how I know you won't kill me." I said. He dug his wand into my neck until blood began to trickle down. "Prove me wrong," I said. He glared at you. "Make no mistake, I will kill you. But not until the war is over, not until you are of no use." he said. I smiled. "Were you even sad? When you slaughtered our mother?" I asked. He stared at me. "Take her to her cell. Now!" he spat. Then he stormed off. They dragged me down to the dungeons and threw me inside. The door locked and I just sat down. Even if I do die, I'll die doing what my mother wanted. And that's good enough for me.
