"What?" Damon asked. Bonnie ignored him, her main focus was the necklace. "Nice necklace, can I see it?" Bonnie asks reaching out her hand. Damon could read the suspicion growing on Ruth's face. He walked to Bonnie, gently pulling her away. "Let's just get on with the  plan" he told her. Bonnie kept quiet and watched Ruth's every move with the necklace. Her necklace isn't just some necklace. That necklace holds the power of a hundred dead Bennett witches, not too long ago she was wearing it, so how did Ruth get it. At this point, she knew something was up. Something was not right.

Ruth squeezes her grip on the necklace as she took in sight of Bonnie's continuous glare. "Bonnie, first I need you to feel your magic. Feel the connection you have with it". Bonnie nods at her. Closing her eyes, she takes a deep breath. She stood there for a couple of seconds and felt nothing. She adjusted her posture and thought even harder about her magic; trying to feel some part of it. Any part of it. It felt like she had lost complete connection to her magic.

Bonnie opened her eyes "I don't feel or see anything . There no darkness, there's just emptiness. Nothing at all"

Ruth takes a step forward "Relax a bit more and think about someone you love, or loved. Maybe someone who contributed to the growth of your magic, and probably the lost of it too"

Immediately, she thinks about Kol. He was the very first person who came to mind - "Ok, I think I got it"

Bonnie closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She began to feel a slight tingle in her hand, she smiled at the notion. It was a clear sign something was happening. Damon looks at Ruth mouthing "Is it working?" - Ruth put her finger on her lips silently shushing him.

Bonnie opened her eyes, taking in the scene around her. "I think it worked" she said.

"How did it feel?" Ruth asked. "Refreshing, very refreshing" she said calmly in disbelief. Her magic wasn't a hundred percent, but she could still feel it there and that's all that mattered.

Ruth gave Bonnie her old grimoire suggesting she skims through it. Bonnie took the book and opened it. From the corner of her eye, Bonnie saw Ruth pulling Damon to the side discreetly. She clears her throat, ending their conversation. She walked up to them and took a quick glance to her necklace once again. She relinquished the grimoire Ruth handed to her.

"Thanks, so how did you two meet?" she asks abruptly. "College" Ruth replies wasting no time. "You went to college?" Bonnie questions Damon. That was a shocker for her, Damon and college seemed incompatible, unless he went for the girls and not for an actual education...which the first option would probably be his only reason for attending. "I've been on a college campus, yes" he says, he felt he was answering the obvious.

"About seventy years ago, when I was just a sweet, young freshman, I met this beautiful man, and fell in love. And then he told me about his little secret - made me love him more. You see, I had a little secret of my own that I was dying to share with somebody" she says smiling at him. "Gosh, was I naive? Changed my world" she continues. "I rocked your world" he said. Bonnie rolled her eyes at his proud ego. Ruth chuckled at Bonnie's non verbal response.

"Is there a bathroom?" Bonnie asked. "Yeah down there on your right" Ruth retorted. Bonnie went, leaving the two in the room.

"After all these years, it's still only Katherine. How do you even know she's still alive?" Ruth questions.

"Well, you help me get into that tomb and we'll find out"

"So that's the reason you brought Bonnie here, you genuinely don't care if she gets her magic back, do you? You just need her to get in touch with it again so that she could perform the spell for you. I guess people truly never change..."
