"What?" Bonnie questioned, unsure if she heard correctly or not.
"Damon killed you, Bonnie. He's the reason you were dead"
Elena looked to Caroline, "Caroline, why would you-"
"I'm sorry, but I had to tell her. She needs to know the truth" the blonde exclaimed.
Something burned in Bonnie's veins, a burn so strong that left her speechless. Not sure of what to say or think. She began to wonder; were these the people she called her best friends, those who would hide something so dark, something so painful away from her. They were mad at her for being secretive, meanwhile they were doing the same exact thing, but worst.
Bonnie remained quiet, a tear fell from her eye. The room was dead silent, you could hear a feather drop. She wanted to walk out the room, but her body was frozen. Every nerve in her body was numb, not even a slight tingle to remind her she could feel if she just gave in. But no, she didn't want to give in because giving in would only ease the pain, not remove it permanently.
"Bonnie, I--" Elena was shut down. "Just leave me the hell alone, both of you" she said. Bonnie picked up her bag and slammed the door on her way out.
Elena and Caroline sighed, "What have we done?" the blonde exclaimed. Elena looked to Caroline, "I thought we promised to keep this from her, so what exactly persuaded you to just recklessly open your mouth and tell her?".
Caroline narrowed her eyes at the doppelganger, "Bonnie is our friend, Elena. I know things are finally working out for you and Damon, but do you even know how insane you sound? She was going to find out eventually, someone had to tell her".
Elena scoffed, "If it were anybody else, you'd say differently. But because it's Damon, my boyfriend, the guy you can't stop hating, you did this. Telling Bonnie was my decision to make, not yours".
Caroline almost lost it, her decision to make, Caroline was the reason Bonnie had to die in the first place. Or at least that's what she believed. "That's how you feel, Elena, what about asking how I'd feel?"
"I didn't think I had to" Elena shouted. "Of course you didn't, you always see one way through a problem and damn what everyone else thinks" Caroline retorted. Elena crossed her arms, "And what is that supposed to mean?" she questioned her, her voice slightly cracking.
A knock impended on the door, putting a hold on their conversation, Elena took a deep breath and went to go open it. There were two envelopes, one for Caroline, the other for Elena. They opened it to see an invitation for the Masquerade ball taking place tonight.
Caroline looked to her, "Is yours an invitation to the Mikaelson ball too?". "Yup" Elena replied.

Bonnie was in history class and the words she didn't want to hear came tracing through her mind. Damon killed you. She felt betrayed, the highest level of betrayal. Not just from her friends, but from Damon as well. Although they weren't very fond of each other, she'd never expect him to kill her. She considered him of a friend of hers, which made her realize that there really was a thin line between love and hate.
"Bonnie, could you tell us what year the great depression took place?" Alaric asked to see if she was listening. "Uhm...." she stuttered, unable to answer the question. "Eyes up front" he said. "Right, sorry about that".
Class was now over, and everyone made their way out, except for Bonnie, she decided to stay back. She walked up to the front of the class, where Alaric was behind the desk, "Hey Alaric".
"Hey Bonnie, what's up?"
Bonnie got straight to the point, she figured it made no sense beating around the bush, she kept her composure, "Not much, just figured out that Damon killed me, so uh, life's great".
