PRESENT TIME AT MYSTIC FALLS...

Stefan set his eyes on Damon; he wasn't dressed formal like the invitation said to. Instead, he had on a black v-neck tee with black straight leg jeans, topped with his usual jet black leather jacket.

With that stupid smirk on Damon's face, it angered Stefan to see him.

Meanwhile, Caroline looked at him with disgust. Veins ran down her eyelids as her green eyes had now gone black. Damon's presence was making her blood boil; she wanted nothing more than to hurt him the way he hurt Bonnie.

This was the first time in two months that Caroline and Elena saw him. Elena looked into his eyes; she didn't see the sincere and genuine vampire that came knocking on her door a couple of weeks ago pleading for her forgiveness. She saw a cold-hearted vampire who looked like he had no care in the world; not for himself, not for his brother, no one.

Caroline vamp sped to him, pushing him against the glass door, narrowing her eyes as a strong smell of alcohol radiated off of his body.

Damon pushed Caroline off of him. "Whoa, hey! Hands off the jacket. I just took it to the dry cleaners today."

"What are you doing here Damon?" Stefan asked.

"I'm here because I got an invitation, duh!"

Caroline shook her head, scoffing. "Are you drunk right now?"

"Are you blonde?" Damon retorted, basically saying; yes.

Stefan walked over to Damon and noticed that he couldn't keep his eyes in one place; he looked around, struggling to concentrate on his younger brother standing in front of him. "You haven't been at home, so, what have you been up to?"

Damon took a deep breath. He sat on the ground with his legs criss cross applesauce. He closed his eyes, raising his two hands and, creating an "ok" gesture with his fingers. "Stefan. I've been taking yoga classes." He stood up and waltzed to Elena. Stefan vamp sped in front of her. "Let me guess; you guys worked things out. That's awesome because I've been trying to get hero hair over here to stop hating me! This calls for a celebration, I say we leave Rebekah's stupid party and drink the night away, and I don't just mean alcohol." He winked, staring at Elena's neck.

"You've clearly been celebrating all day. I can smell it in your breath," hissed Caroline.

Damon put his hands to his chest and gasped, "What a shocker!" Caroline rolled her eyes at his remark and walked out the balcony, slamming the door on her way out. "What's her problem?"

***ON THE OTHER SIDE...

"So, that's what that meant? It all makes sense now...requires a powerful witch and a vampire in full bloom," Bonnie said. "Okay, what's next?"

"You're the witch; all of this lies in your hands. Once we figure out the spell, you will have to perform it. I only become useful when you take my blood, which I'm pretty sure you'll have no problem doing," Kol said.

"Trust me, I won't," she replied with a forced smile. "Look, all the words we've exchanged these past couple of weeks have barely been positive, but, thanks for the help."

Kol was shocked at the words that escaped her mouth. He never would have thought that SHE would be thanking HIM. A smirk grew on his lips. "I'm sorry, can you repeat that? I couldn't really hear."

Bonnie nudged him with her elbow, smiling. "Don't ruin it."

"Oh, wow. There's that smile. I haven't seen it in a while."
